Ingame review:

The M16A2 has less recoil, a little less damage, and higher rate of fire.

The M16, however, has much more recoil, medium damage and a medium rate of fire, like the Type89.



Even though it looks like the M16A2 has higher damage, test it out in close range fighting and you'll see what happens. It has less recoil in long range and it feels lighter than normal.
