Mouse and keyboard Macros don't work

Alright, I set specific buttons on my keyboard to do a macro (a.k.a. chat, flame, troll) and it doesn't work while in CrossFire. It works on every other game (CS, etc.)

Same with my mouse where I've set the left button as Q.

My mouse is a Microsoft intellimouse 1.1 1000 dpi
my keyboard is a Microsoft Wireless MultiMedia Keyboard

the software I'm using is the IntelliMouse/Type software by Microsoft (version 8, latest)

it works on every other game except for CF.

What's wrong?

Is there a program that I can use to fix it/allow the mouse/keyboard macros/keybindings to work?

    Well really it's just try and try again. Make sure you save the settings and try the game out. As for macros, alot of ppl got their macros erased recently so you might have to retype them in and once again MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE SETTINGS. Alot of hills are turned into mountains because someone didnt click the save button or skipped a step.

    I am talking about seperate macros that are not intergrated into the game. I've setted let's say "My Documents" to day something and it doesn't work yet it works on every other game. I am not talking about the chat macros such as F5-F8, I'm talking about seperate macros on my keyboard.
