Any way about 2 weeks ago we had a black sub in my algebra 1 class (I'm in 8th grade)
I had fallen asleep the day before so when he was passing out worksheets he asked "does anybody need help" I raised my hand and he said " oh I know u don't need help put ur hand down! " about 5inutwes later a black girl in my class ask him and he respond "how may I help you"



Tl;dr I was sterotyped for asains being good at math

ps still got a 100 on that worksheet

I also got a referal for going up to him and saying sup my ****** wants some fried chicken wing? In my defense I was mad

I remember one time I was waiting at the bus stop a while back, it was raining. Im in my work clothes, black shoes and pants, and im wearing a black hoody and black gloves. ALL BLACK ON. I decide to sit under someone's porch to get out of the rain and smoke a cig while I wait for the bus. Well the person living there comes home, and i'm sitting there in all black lookin hella suspi.cious smoking a cig next to her front door, this old lady in her 40's comes out of her car, and all she does is say "Its alright honey you can stay there its nasty out here".

First thing that popped into my head is, what would she have done if I was black...

How long have you been in the US?To be struggling with english in a mainly white place.

For a while I was starting to struggle with spanish,even though I only spoke spanish at home.

Now I am fine again, started speaking more Spanish/hanging with more Spanish speakers.
Now I am about even on both.

Been in the USA since I was 9 though I lived in San Diego and was in mainly Spanish classes till I was 13 (Junior High).
My English ain't that good, I have a small accent and I get caught in a lot of words because I try to say them with a Spanish style.
In my house I was the first of the ones that live together that spoke English.

My family has been a part of Mexico forever, my dad's side is Zapoteca which was a war tribe of the Aztecs., my mom's side where among the first people to come to Mexico and my ancestors founded Jalisco, so yes, I'm pretty much Mexican all the way.
