Ping has went from a perm 74 to a perm 120 for months.

I didn't really care for the months that it changed, but then I was remembering the days I had 7x ping and I kind of want it back. ;x It happened out of nowhere. I live in California, USA. Does anyone have any idea what could have changed? I didn't change my ISP either or the service speed plan either.

I called them and they said "Your speed has been the same as it was ever since you purchased your plan". So even if something happened with them, I have the same speed from them.

They occasionally move servers or update them causing ping instability and forget about it.

maybe check computer updates (they can sometimes eat internet speed), or run a virus scan. when i had a ping spike it was a malicious file surfing the internet in the background. Or maybe go to a lower populated server.
