Message to Community: Lag.
As all / most people know here, i suffer from bs lag. My dad downloads like 24/7 so my pings likw 100-300 95% of the time, where's my regular ping should be 33. What really gets on my nerves though, is when some idiot talks about how having higher ping is good and stuff, and even if someone misses me, its always blamed on my ping.
People should see what things are like on the other side. Obviously, the most obvious problem is the length of time it takes to switch guns, nades etc. If I have a horrible spike I might switch, and not get the gun change for another 6-7 seconds. One of the most ridiculous situations i've ever seen was in a practise scrim, with 12 seconds on the clock 5 v 1 situation (in our favour), Saranghae had the bomb and was going to plant. He spikes to 3,800 ping and he couldnt switch to bomb for the 12 seconds.
Another factor us laggers have to deal with is the teleporting. I know this works the other way, but its actually worst from the laggers point-of-view. Trust me....
The most irratating, and important factor is of course the pathethic amount of reg. I never boast to be a great player, but I do play really smartly - getting the flanks, guessing where people might be camping, where they might rotate to. You seriously can't imagine how fustrating it is, to have flanked someone - be standing behind them and spray 30 ak-bullets into their backs - then they turn around and headshot you. Its seriously so annoying.
Of course there's the wee problem of having lag on vent, where I might call a strat, and the others mightnt hear it for another 20-30 seconds , and by then everyones either gone to default or are standing around waiting for the strat. The other way is of course when someone calls a position, and I don't get to hear it for another 20 seconds.
I do see it from the other side too. I do play with my good, 33 ping (albeit, rarely) against people with 150+ ping. Yeah,it is a bit annoying when maybe when a 1 shot doesnt reg, but at least 80% of your other shots will probably reg compared to the other. The meatshield ability can be a bit annoying aswell, or when someone teleports across your screen, but you can still reg on them.
I have been on both sides of this issue. But believe me, if you're the one with 200 ping - you're the one getting the bad chunk of luck.

That is so well said. People tend to complain about my 170 ping on Echo8, but it doesn't really bother me since I know they're mentally challenged and they simply cannot take advantage of their low ping.I have been on both sides of this issue. ping works both ways. one side has an advantage when they peek and the other side has an advantage when that person hides -

I HAD 119 ping and they were all crying -.- Then they said I armoured =(((
Now I get 205 ping in NA so i don't even bother going there.... -
I'm on wireless so I get a high ping at various times. I really do see it from both sides. Sometimes you think everything is fine, then you suddenly are back at a spawn point. I certainly feel your pain. It isn't like I'm an awesome player when things are going well with my connection. LOL

Not singling you out or anything MyAWM and this is totally off-topic...but why does almost every single person on this game say "peak" when it's actually "peek" ?
Anyway, high pingers definitely have it harder. Just hoping no-one comes on saying stuff like "Shouldn't be playing with high ping". -

Ive been in UK clans due to the fact UK doesnt have many laggers
I can honestly say, the only time high ping is a disadvantage, is when it's like 250+
other than that, the switch time is only delayed maybe half a second, the reg isn't much worse, and the reg for the low pingers is much worse.
I'm not trying to sound bad, but I truly think high ping ( Not super super high, but like 100-200 ) IS INFACT an advantage -

Well defended. By the sounds of it you seem yo be talking about normal matches with automatic weapons. In this case a high ping really isn't a big deal. 98% of matches I have played have been those kind and the only time high ping is a prob is when they're teleporting or don't take damage. However, high ping (110+) is a btch on the recieving end in sniper matches where there is enough of a time delay that since only one shot is fired the high pinger picks you off just as you've moved behind a wall. I've just recently got an AWM and began doing Prison matches and have had the entire team in Delta 150+ ping while i'm at 13. it's likely the most frustrating thing when you see the blood come from an enemy's chest when you shoot them but you die instead of them. then when you check and their ping and its +200.
I just hope you play in the UK server, and wish that everyone else played in the closest server. -
So true. I suffer from lag spikes every couple minutes, often when I'm in a scenario where it disables me greatly. However, and this happens like 1 out of 10 times, I warp to another position and get a kill. When that happens, people are very quick to say it's unfair that I did that and accuse me of doing it intentionally, when almost every time I'm the one getting fragged.

Half a second? That's the delay I experience when I change weapons, and I have 30 ping.
And it's definitely not an advantage. Some days I'm sniping with 170 ping, which a delay of 2-4 seconds, because my dad is busy downloading/pirating stuff, and believe me, it's not fun. -
This is something I've been trying to tell people for a while now, but they never believe me. Whenever my brothers are downloading something or when my ping just randomly goes up at night, i really can't rifle at all. The reg is absolutely horrid with high ping and it'll take maybe 6-8 chest shots with the ak to kill someone.
