What's up with the Manners in Echo 8?
For every 10 SNDs I play I'll go to Echo 8 once.
Every time I play there, all I hear are "You're bad, kid", "Go home", "PZ kid", "I'm not even trying", or other such examples of maturity.
Echo 8, as far as I can tell, is made up of primarily NA players, a good number of which go there for WOGL pug or practice.
Is there some secret mantra for the lack of courtesy on this channel?
And if not, why are we (NA players) harassing others (foreign players, e.g. BRs) for their lack of manners if we can't do better?

Thats the competitive players for ya'. They either call you a tryhard for walking, and tryhard themsleves all the time, or just trash talk. -

Echo 8 is a joke from the start, those lousy goons think they're so good, always make up an excuse in a "wannabe professional server", what a deface to the community.

You have no idea what you're talking about if you lump competitive players in with the rest of the moronic community that calls themselves competitive.
There are under 40 people in the "competitive community" (your definition of it) who should actually be considered "competitive".

e8 is home to many idiots who have no skills, hobbie, or interests outside of CF, which has become the most important thing in their life. it's quite depressing. ironically, CF isn't a "competitive" game in the first place.
CSS is competitive. CF is casual. some people think they're so pro because they're good at CF, and i think, "wow congratulations, you're good at a casual game. go play CS if you actually want to compete."
let's face it, a game with flight attendants running around in bunny ears, wearing turkey backpacks, and throwing "baby ghost" grenades is not a truly competitive game. -

You must be one of the many people that pub in echo 8. This type of behavior isn't often seen in real echo 8 scrims. Echo 8 which in fact was made for scrims not pubs. -

League rules and competition between players and teams makes it "competitive". Counter Strike has many mods and plugins for servers to make the game more fun and casual, along with being competitive in others. The idea of a competitive channel such as Echo 8 and all the ones previous was for people to follow a certain set of rules from League's or other sources and play matches/act accordingly. At the moment this idea is just flying over a lot of peoples heads or is being ignored.
Also, just so you know, competition can happen in any game, sport, activity, ect.

Just need the right type of people to make it better.
Edit: Just so you know, Counter Strike did not start being competitive right away. People needed to put some effort in the beginning to create the competition seen in most Valve games now. CS, CSS, DOD, DODS, TF, TF2 are all different. People created rules, tools, leagues, tournaments to allow for a sort of "growth" in the areas that needed it most, which is how games like Counter Strike have risen to the top and set a sort of "standard". -

Lolz. If you don't want to have trash in your face, don't bother talking to them or playing in the server. E-8 is for competitive people who are childish and PLAY AROUND a lot. It feels weird for being retired in a game and trolling on forums

I haven't played this game in a week. I feel like trolling this forum because I'm not used to A.V.A.'s yet, and maybe I just don't like seeing white all the time. And how does this makes me look stupid? At least I don't bother talking in pubs because that initiates an argument and in this case you just started it.

If you mean the "competitive" people that are the new kids who play E8 all day and flare their egos, it's because they're stupid.
If you mean the oldies/goodies who actually have fun competition with each other and can't take a loss/play the game for the game, then it's because there are so many ignorant idiots who lump both groups of people together that we just get ****ing tired of the stupidity. -

They act as if they are better than everyone. I just go with the flow by just playing regularly. They use "tryhard" to make you run instead of walk because they likely have headphones on and say they don't have them on so they can kill you. It's an obvious IMO. -
