Pando Media Booster
Does anyone have Pando Media Booster?
You should receive it from games like FlyFF, LOTRO, League Of Legends or some other games.
It is used to install games, and nothing else. Apparently, it boosts your media. But actually it doesn't.
Pando Media Booster is considered as a spyware and I recommend you to remove it immediately after installing a Pando installer-supported game. It eats up your bandwidth after having it for a while and makes you spike more. A file like Pando Media Booster is actually a P2P kind of file, so it gives you some bad lag.
To remove:
1.Go to start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Go on Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP)/ Programs and Features (Windows 7/Vista)
4. Uninstall Pando Media Booster
5. Go back on Control Panel
6. Click Windows Firewall (Windows 7/Vista)/ Windows Security Centre, click Windows Firewall (Windows XP)
7. Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall (Windows 7/Vista)/ Click the Exceptions tab (Windows XP)
8. Delete Pando Media Booster services.
WINDOWS 7/VISTA EXAMPLE:

I was downloading FlyFF during the screenshot process. Don't mind it. I follow these rules after installation.
Thank me if I helped you.

What Pando Media Booster basically does is eat up your bandwidth, causing your connection to the host and others to spike up if you have it for longer, since the actual download is a P2P file. It comes with installers such as FlyFF, League Of Legends or LOTRO.
Check all forums/Google/etc. on Pando Media Booster, and they'd probably tell you to remove it.
JasonIsSexy, go troll somewhere else. I know what I'm doing. -
I've got it, but I rarely spike..
At night though, my ping goes to over 100, that might be why. Or its just how bad my ISP is, (AT&T T_T)
If you rarely spike, then it can also affect your video buffering, your downloading and most importantly of all, your connection status.
I wonder if you use more than 1 people connecting to your network connection. -

Since it is in your firewall exceptions, it can access your computer and your network connection, allowing it to eat up your bandwidth and use it all up. -
Oh no! uTorrent and 100 other programs are also on my firewall exceptions list! Maybe I should get rid of all of those too! Haha.Since it is in your firewall exceptions, it can access your computer and your network connection, allowing it to eat up your bandwidth and use it all up. -
Thanks for the tip. I uninstalled Pando Media Booster, but the "Delete" button is grayed out for it in Windows Firewall.
(I am in Vista.)
Halp?
You have to click Change Settings w/ the administrator button, since you have to run as admin for most important things.
