Cant update Crossfire.

Alright so I made a thread like this a few days ago and it still hasn't gotten a response so I decided to make a video of what my problem is and then put it in a new thread since for one I apparently cant edit posts in this forum if a certain amount of time has passed... and two I just would really like a fix so the more people that have a chance to see this thread the better.

Alright so its been a few months since I last played CF and today I thought I might put in a hour or so. So I start up the game and it starts the auto update with Crossfire UpdaterV5

And it goes perfectly fine until it gets to "RF019.REZ" then the update freezes and I have to use WTM to close the updater. I have been searching around the intertubes for about a half hour now and I have found a few cases where they have the same problem and even a response on your facebook page but the only solution I have been able to find so far is to download a new version and install it again.

So I did so and now when I try to start the game it patches until it says. "Downloading: 1053 (8/9)"

And again gets stuck there for eternity.... And the only way to close it is with Windows Task Manager.

Please tell me the solution to this problem.

I use Kaspersky AV but it is turned off both when downloading and installing/Starting the game.

I have no extra programs running the background.

And I am using windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

I am sorry about if it is slightly laggy and or the quality isnt so wonderful... My computer was made in 1722 so as you may of guessed its a piece of crap. I am a poor ******* so I cant afford to upgrade QQ

theres the link. I was gonna upload it too youtube but the program I downloaded to capture my desktop had a site that it automatically uploads the file too so that was just easier...

  • Wow.. Still no reply! I sent in a ticket and they just sent me here.. And I cant get a responce from here either... Man you guys have Tech Support on par with Nexon.. And that is NOT a good thing.. Nexon is notorious for having one of the WORST tech support on the planet..

    Just because this is a FREE game doesnt mean you can neglect your players entirely... Thats just bad business... Learn a thing or two from Blizzard or Treyarch.. Or any other gaming company that has decent Customer Service...

    Congratulations you just lost a potential customer. I will not be back your lack of people willing to help me solve my issues has completely drained whatever small urges I had to play this game.

    You can close this thread now I wont be needing it because I wont be back.
