Let's keep this relevant shall we? I know I'm such a downer -__-
I don't like you now.
;D
Well yeah I just hope that in the future everyone wouldn't be so...I dont know how to say it...disrespectful? We should give it a try anyways. What do we got to lose besides our life and time right?
PS: All A's and B's baby

you dont have to like it but as long as this version is multi-national. there will be much hatred towards others. its just how it is. lots of people simply hate others for being foreign. or not understanding /living there way of life. the list goes on.
you want a prime example?
North america & south america.
both just hate each other in this game. (not all, but alot) -

I agree with you in a way. That kind of animosity towards other nationalities is hard to change over night, especially within the game. But, we can monitor and control that kind of animosity here within our small community on the forums. We might as well make it a more enjoyable place to come, since monitoring that kind of stuff real time in-game is nearly unheard of. Let's set the example here with our small percentage in the forums and carry that in-game with us. It might not make a difference, but I'm stubborn and I will try. Haha. -

We would all hope that it would be the perfect gaming invironment. Using real names might not do as much good as you think. Look at Facebook, people still post incredibly stupid stuff.
The maturity of a person seems to be decreased since there is no physical confrontation with another. No fear per say. Using real names will help a little but not enough.
Rabbs
Good stuff though. -
Yes i do believe so. People feel like they can trash talk and be completely unreasonable in an online game because it doesnt affect their real life reputation. They wouldnt talk to people at school like this, but any little mistake that is made online is an immediate opening for ridiculous berating and mocking. Its rather sad, but nerds will be nerds and your best option is to ignore them all together.

Also, relationships are sacred. Many players in this community tend to backstab. The person you are closest to online, could backstab you and leave you in the ditch pretty rapidly if something comes up.
Individualists being greedy equals a terrible community, therefore we have to avoid that and promote good collectivism. -

I've never met someone like that so far...hopefully never will. But anyone that acts like that definitely will make the other person react the same. They backstab someone, the other one gets mad and backstabs another friend and so on..
I don't want to sound or seem like an ass, but Polleus, don't you think Z8 and the CF staff alike should start enforcing their own rules...for real.
Like for example the "English Only" rule. Dont want to sound racist, but why don't they enforce it in-game just like in the forums? Have you seen CF China's videos? The teamwork is amazing. Almost no one spams nades, they all hold out, they all help each other. Unlike here since there's little communication, it causes frustration and everything turns into a complete chaos. People teamkill you, kick you for not knowing their language, and everyone does everything by themselves. -
It's very hard to moderate in-game without in-game moderators to carry out the enforcement. For reasons I can not discuss, in-game moderators have not been implemented at this point, obviously. Without such enforcement, it's next to impossible to watch our rules outside the forums. The best we can do is influence the people here in the forums and hopefully they will carry that in-game with them. We can only do so much and the rest is in your hands.

Cause, unlike CF China, this is not a community to begin with ...
This is Cecil Rhodes' Commonwealth of CF Gamers, with restless "natives" and all  -
i may have said something in one way, but since theres no expression or tone of voice, the other person my interpret it rudely, and that leads him to respond badly, and before long u have mortal enemies.
i've met alot of bad people in cf, but the few that i've enjoyed playing with, they are some of the best people i know, not sure if this is relevant...but what ever wanted to say that some where, and this is as good a time as any -

Hence my efforts to try and develop the group of gamers we have into a great community. We have a good group of people, even with all the negatives that come with it. There just needs to be a stronger movement towards being a community and not fighting over petty reasons all the time. -

-.- might as well try to turn air into gold
keep trying though -
What makes you think it's only CrossFire? Communities of other F2P games are even worse or equal to ours. Trying to change In-Game community is basically a waste of time, seeing as average age there is between 13-15. Forcing forum community to act slightly more mature by enforcing FORUM RULES? Definitely worth a shot, that's how I see it.The answer to your great question is very simple:
The Internet allows people to behave in a way that they can't in RL.
This attracts trolls.
For some reason, all the trolls decided to play Crossfire, not sure why...
But it's not the immaturity that annoys me the most, it's the complete idiocy, ignorancy and being paranoid about cheats. People can't stand when someone constantly outplays them.
[sorry if there were any typos, I'm in rushhhhhhh]
