1- Get Photoshop or any ".tga" photo editor

2- Go to wherever you installed Crossfire
ie. " C:\Program Files\Z8Games\rez\UI\Mark "

3- Open up:
KillMark_Upgrade1.tga
KillMark_Upgrade2.tga
KillMark_Upgrade3.tga (These are the files that go from C1-B1-A1)

4- Erase w/e pic you have there with its Eraser
5- Save the File ("Ctrl+S" is usually the control to save)
6- Play Crossfire; If that's what you want then good.

search for "Blank kill marks" using the search function.

how to remove wings and badge symbols

The way I did it was I downloaded a program called paint.net. Then I opened killmarkupgrade 1,2 and 3 as well as the badgeassault 1, 2 and 3 and the other badge symbols(sniper, scout etc...)

Then in paint.net you'll see a little window called "Layers". In this window uncheck "background" and you'll see the image goes away and you're left with just the grey checkerboard pattern. This checkerboard pattern actually translates in game as see through.

Resave these(cuz you still need to have these files) and copy and replace them into your Marks folder. Now they'll be clear and won't be super-imposed over whatever kill marks you have.

Hopefully this helped. I had to figure all this out on my own and I am not at all savvy with graphic design programs, etc. I'm sure there's a zillion other programs you can use but I tried paint.net and found it fairly easy to self teach. Good luck pimpin your crossfire.
