I have the same problems, I submitted a support ticket and never got a reply, and there are no solutions in the forums. this is not as simple as "turn your sound on" or reboot your computer/crossfire. I have had this problem since I first installed CF and I have tried everything. Please fix this Z8.

Also, I have tried reinstalling but the same problem persists, I have also tried testing this through my main sound card (Tascam us-144mk2 audio interface) and my integrated soundcard in my mobo, which I still have the same problem on both. Much appreciation to anyone with any ideas of how to fix this.

all options are set to "ON"
all updates are made
all audio codecs are installed
all GMs are over-proud -
It seems that some people have this problem and some people do not. This means that it is the individual's computer that is faulty. You should first look for simple things such as turning your sound on in the options. (as someone suggested earlier) Then you should check whether or not your headphones are broken.

If I were to still be checking the "simple things" I would not be on this board pleading for ideas....this problem is past the obvious. please no one else come here to check to see if the sound Is on. every other application/games/video sound work fine it is JUST the ingame sounds of cf (gunshots/grenades/footsteps)

There is bo problem with our computers or sound outputs. Why? -because this problem are only with cf. In all other games there is no problem with sound... -

UNDERSTAND that this problem is only for in-game sounds of crossfire (guns grenades footsteps). We have no trouble hearing the "mission failed/success, killstreak sounds etc" and thus, our sound also works for everything else imaginable on the computers....IT IS ONLY CROSSFIRE AND YES EVERYTHING WORKS AND IS PLUGGED IN.

Well no your wrong you guys did not mention that YouTube works.
But make sure you have this.
- Go to Control Panel
- Click on Sounds and Audio Devices
- Click on the tab Audio
- Make sure it says Realtek.......
- Click on the tab Voice
- Make sure it says Realtek....
It is not suppose to say anything else except Realtek.
So if you've tried that, I don't know what else is wrong.
I forgot if you said that you've uninstalled/re-installed, but try re-installing CrossFire if you haven't.

I have trouble hearing the "mission failed/success, killstreak sounds etc" I have no sound for all crossfire sounds. No weapons no footsteps no grenades no killstreak no other sounds. But its only on this game. In other games all sounds working normaly... And its very interesting that there are a lot of threads about it but no one gives answer, its like inwisible problem for GM's. In other games this problem would be already fixed and patched... -

after going through the forums (this post actually gave me the idea thanks whatever your name is :P) i have finally found a solution to this problem,
