EMP Grenade (Ghostmode)

A relatively harmless grenade by itself (unless you have a character with a pacemaker), but extremely useful in Ghostmode. It temperately shuts down the invisibility suits of the "Ghost" caught in its small blast radius. It replaces the smoke grenade in a player's standard arsenal. The effects of the EMP on the suit lasts only 5 seconds, after which a "Ghost" turns invisible again.

Nice idea, but it'll be pretty hard to get a ghost within the range of the nade. Unless you have idiots on your team, you pinpoint where the ghost is planting, and you throw that there and make him visible for your teammates. But I don't see how this would be useful if you can pinpoint. Though you COULD just throw it at a random place and by chance, gets a ghost. I have a question. If a ghost is in the range of the explosion of the EMP grenade, even if he gets hit a little, will it still shut down his suit for 5 seconds?

The ghost's team plant's the bomb in A. 5 players of wich team are alive. The GR team starts throw EMP nades from 4.5 seconds to 4.5 seconds. A player is defusing, and all the ghosts are visible. (pew pew pew) [Global Risk Win]*
Ok, my post MAY be stupid, but well, think about it. If there are many ghosts together (as when the bomb gets planted, specially in close spaces) the EMP nade would make it easy.
I don't like the idea. We have pinpointers, We have sprayers. I don't want this nade.
Np, troll me, say negative things, but well, I don't like the idea, it would ruin the gameplay I'm used to. Even if this idea is incredible creative and cool, to don't turn it a publick hack buyable, the radius would need to be VERY VERY small O_O -
Well, first, this wouldn't slow you FPS down like smoke does, for it lacks a visual effect in constant motion.
Second, the burst would be smaller than that of a standard frag grenade. This being said, it would be pretty hard to get a "Ghost" in a full blast, so the penalty should the same for the "Ghost" caught on the outskirt of the blast as it would be if caught dead center.
Finally, this grenade is meant to help GR against expert bunny hoppers guarding C4 when planted. You usually can't hear them until they stop and strike. This should help GR cover their man better while he's defusing.
And yes, I'm talking about a expiring ZP grenade.

sounds sweet, but will make it hard to hit ghosts with it :c
i can't even hit a visible person with a wide nade, tell me, how will i hit a invisighost with a smaller radius than the normal nade
But other than that it's a genial idea, will have the range penalty (wich will probably will affect the time that the ghost takes to turn it's invisisuit on again) and will help a lot in GM, tough eliminating the breath down item would help a lot more :S -
I remember suggesting once a flashlight to replace a grenade, would have 5 seconds or so of battery and then a long recharge time. While using it ghosts close enough in front of you will be slightly visible, so it would help for scouting an area for ghosts but unless you switched to another weapon and made the ghosts invisible again or had a team mate help shoot, it wouldn't be over powered. Although I do like this idea, if only to stop noobs from smoking.

Yeah,why running with a torchlight in hand when i can put it directly on my gun?
I like the EMP bomb,but the return to invisibility should be slow like the recover of the round start.Ghosts turn invisible very slow. -

The reason why its not practical is because a flash light would create another continuous effect in motion, just like a smoke grenade does. So that too would be torture on your FPS like smoke would. I don't think you quite realize how long 5 seconds is in game time. In 5 seconds you can reload a AWM and scope in on someone's head. In a high action game, 5 seconds is a lot. No, they use cloaking technology that bends light. That's also why light or smoke gives them away.
