Which gun is better, AUG or XM8?

I was reading a few threads posted earlier on this page and I wondered which gun would be better. Thanks for replying.

Definitely the AUG, dot sights aren't as good and AUG is just better all around any way.

XM8. Aug is kinda weird, and i've tetsted both. though i do get more HS scoped in with AUG, but no regrets with XM8

XM8 is more powerful through wood areas. The AUG is a headshot gun, if you want a lot of headshots, this gun is better. Especially shorter range.

XM8 is way better to control and more powerfull!
AUG has one nice thing, the zoom!Nothing more I guess (I don´t like XM8 scope).

AUG scope means that if you know how to aim, every kill is a HS and you will be ACE.

XM8 is almost strictly wallbang for me.

Agreed in many senses, I feel as though the aug is a very nice gun if you are prone to oneshoting. If you are the individual that rather shoots in bursts as a means to kill someone and not necessarily aiming for the head, then go with the xm8. Both do the job, its just a matter of personal choice.

Either way, I aim for the head with any gun, but the AUG and XM8 are like the DEagle and Anaconda, XM8 if you like to spray (walls), and the AUG for aiming at the head.

XM8 is the best, the Steyr is a good rifle but the XM8 is easier to control specially while moving, STEYR is more for camp-shot-move-camp-shot

XM8 for sure. Shorter reload, by far, and it does good damage through those boxes. I honestly have a hard time believing it's 100%...

If you're going to get an XM8 get an MP5.
Better Wallbanging.

If you're going to get an AUG get an AK.
Better one shotting.

XM8. You can play on most maps with it. I wouldn't play with AUG against good ghosts or in TDM.

Okay, I personally don't like the AUG for the reload time other wise it's a great gun. I'd rather have the K2 over it. Also, I'd rather have the K2 over XM8. I don't think that helped but you got my 2 cents.

The XM8, if you like to place your shots. People say the red dot isn't useful, but I love it.
The 100% wallbang helps too.

The Aug is a headshot cannon, but you don't have to aim as much. The downside of that is, it isn't as accurate over distance, and it's a little too loud for GM.

Which gun is better, AUG or XM8?
