Well told you about my opinion in game already.
So you trying to make rules for a pub?
Gosh my opinion is just no female character and no SL thats it. No need to make such a ruleset for pubbing since its not more then that.
btw this is a unbased opinion i follow esl rules strictly... -
Gotta decide on ruleset now. My suggestion:
5v5 only
9 rounds
Guns: every gun is allowed but following:
- Kirss
- SL
- XM8
- Silenced versions of M4 (all of them)
- G36
- M12
- Dual pistols
- +5 ammo versions of AK (all of them)
- +5 ammo Deagle versions (all of them)
Equipment: everything is allowed but following:
- Any kind of better frag grenade than the default one
- Armor
- Any sort of items that are deemed advantageous (less fall damage, less flash effect etc etc.)
- All non-default characters (including males)
In my opinion this ruleset is the best because it excludes non-gp weapons making gameplay fair and balanced.
IMO we shouldn't make a custom ruleset. WOGL rules are fine for this type of competitions IMO. -
There is no need for rules for these kind of games , everyone knows there going to get kicked if there are going to use a scar light , xm8 , spop , star or m12. The biggest difference is that some people tend to use the ZP per day weapons and some do not in a public that should not be a big problem. If people want to play a scrim or come to play a pug stuff changes and you can lay down the law on what ruleset you are playing.

1) Just because you don't play wogl doesnt mean the rest of us don't either.
2) Its a pub. No one is ''owner'' or supervisor of a pub. You're acting as if you OWN uk5-8, when Mart was the first to make the thread,and Floobie made the idea. You're on the same grounds as me, just a regular person active in uk5-8 trying to encourage better gaming. There is nothing wrong with silenced or guns with extra ammo. I only use guns allowed in both ESL and WOGL and i'm not complaining. Its a pub. If you want to play by ESL rules always,just play ESL matches or Gathers. If you want to play by a higher standard than these pubs,play a pug if you don't have enough for a scrim. I understand where people are coming from, complaining about silenced guns or guns with more ammo in leagues, but its a f*cking pub. Now,just because you won't pay the 20 euro or something for a zp gun doesnt mean everyone else doesnt have to you do. Welcome to the real world,not everything revolves around you.

OT: These seem fun, with the "scrub" stuff being frowned upon. I just personally dislike how serious they are. They are just pubs, so I just want to run and gun. But everyone else seems to be playing as if it's a pug or gather.. which is fine if there wasn't a pug Vent. sitting there. But each to their own, I guess. -
