Need help choosing a trail/cross country bike. My price range is £1500-£1800 (might go a bit lower, but not much).

I quite like the look of the 2010 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Elite, and I have owned Specialized bikes before and really like the build quality.

What do you guys think?

I can get more money but that would involve me starting to deal weed OR working for a few more months.

the safire comp is about 2000$. its a good time to buy now, possibly even wait for january.
i got my roadbike after xmas 2 years ago and saved almost 1300 €

of course its harder to build lightweight MB´s than roadbikes, so i think u ll have to spend more money. thinking about getting one myself. i like cannondale though. i don´t like those frames on most specialzed bikes.
