What is and what is not a hack. A guide for the misinformed.
I have had enough of people getting called hackers in every single game I join. In an average day I play a rough 15 games, 14 games someone was called a hacker but in only 4 someone was actually hacking. I understand the nature of programing slightly more than the average person and I can see clearly what is and what is not a hack ( plus you can find videos on youtube of how they work ). I will try to explain in the best way possible what is and what is not a hack to hopefully reduce this extremely large amount of ignorance for a person's skill.

Pro tip - If someone is hacking it is VERY obvious.
Things out of the ordinary like 30-0 score, getting only gold headshots ( Gold headshots means you hit in the center of the head ), running at the speed of light and killing full heath mutants in one shot. Please try to think before you start QQing about someone "hacking".
Common terms referring to hacking-
Wall hack/waller - A hack that lets you see people through walls, normally is packaged with aimbots.
Aimbot - A hack that aims for you with perfect aim. Will normally go for the head ( due to it being a program expect only gold headshots ).

Not really a question but it is not hack unless EVERY single kill the guy gets is a headshot and kills with no delay ( meaning no misses or waiting a few seconds ) but even so that is not a full proof system. Good players of this game specialize in single-shotting and aiming for the head with guns that can 1-hit kill headshot. Videos of these good players show this, most of their kills are threw headshots.

This is not a hack, this is lag. Press tab and look at the scoreboard. All the way on the right you will see "status". This is the players ping or connectivity to the server. The lower number the better. People with high pings (debatable I say 150+ while others say 200+ ) usually have hitbox problems ( both ways, people will have hard times hitting you and vice versa ) . If your ping is over 200 you are probably in the wrong server. Crossfire has 3 server locations North US, South US and UK. Go to the server that is closest to you and you should have better pings.

Common mistake, people who are good at the game are aware of their surroundings. They will check corners and frequent camp spots.
- This guy headshot me in ghost mode! zomg hack!
In ghost mode remember that you are not completely invisible. If you move you become transparent and you will always breath REALLY heavily. Many people can become paranoid when they head the breathing and start spraying everything and with any kind of luck the first bullet could ways hit you.
- This guy is sitting inside a pillar at Egypt, HACK!
This IS a hack...in most cases. Some in-game glitches let you fall threw walls or the floor by getting your character to "spaz" threw them ( aka getting stuck on something then trying to get the glitchy motion to put you threw a wall ), but in most cases this is a hack.

What to do when you encounter a REAL hacker -
From what I seen most real hackers will not talk, not full proof but it is a common behavior. Before you go call them a hacker, make sure you know they are a hacker. If you are getting killed right after spawn in eagle eye S&D, its pretty obvious, but if the person is just a good aimer, wait for awhile and watch their kills.
When you are absolutely sure they are a hacker, accuse them but do it politely and in good grammar. Doing this makes you just look smarter. Say this "*person* is inside the wall could you kick him please?*" over "hack kik" when they are on the other team. If they are on your team kick them and inform everyone else, hopefully they can put forth the effort to press a button.
Pro tip - Arguing with someone over the internet over a topic such as this makes both of you look like idiots. If a person is quick to start throwing out f-bombs, it usually means that their personality is jerkish. Treat them like trolls, DON'T feed them.
Well that is basic hacker identification 101. If you have any questions about a scenario that you were in or just need to know if something is a hack or not and you can't figure it out I will try my best to answer it.

Meh, pros blur the lines people draw out on what a hack is and is not, for example, you see Blindrob getting 1Deag 8k+ streaks, not a hack. You see some randy with a low rank 1shotting with an AK-74, that's a hack.
What I do to figure out if someone hacks or not, is by just looking at their rank. What idiot in their right mind would hack on their Captain ranked account, seriously? However, if they're still in the lower 4 ranks, (trainee, private, corporal, sergeant) you might want to reconsider.
BTW, should be in Guides, not Barracks.

-Someone may glitch accidentaly if he is near a wall running and another one pushes him towards the wall
-sometimes corner jump and headshot in GM is hack and not skill because not all corners are camping spots

Rank doesn't really work either. For instance this is a new account for me, because I messed up the GP spending on my first account. While I had my first account I learned to single-shot ( not exactly accurately seeing as everyone on the other team has 200+ ping and mine is always under 60 -_- ).

I wonder if Z8 is doing anything about thi egypt pillar hack. I reported 35 people (!!) yesterday for using this hack...including 2 gold bar players...pretty sad. So rank says nothing...suspect hack? Save replay and watch it in players view.
Also today 3 more gold bar players glitching under SD maps to make the kills...pretty pathetic..but again shows rank should not be a factor.
Save replay people and take the time to report...it only takes 20 to 30 seconds to file the report! -
Was the speed hack patched? Yes it was. The problem is really identification then fixing it. Coding is a long, annoying proccess that can take a long time and sometimes not even work. Plus to patch the hack, they will need to do a maintence, many games (idk about Z8 ) will just throw it in the next patch and wait till then.

I call this "educated spraying", once in lost relics at the start of a round I just shot at the tops of the pillars and killed 2 people.

its a good guide, won´t help much i think because those ppl do not have any interest in finding out who hacks and who doesn´t.
Yea I have come to realize this. Things like this make me really want to find a join a clan that all they do are private for fun matches so I don't have to deal with these people. -

Coding is hard and annoying? Maybe, but please don't forget that these guys get paid to do this, not just merely someone trying to write up hacks. Therefore, it should and probably does, take multiple tests to find out whether it works or not. So there should be no excuses. -
Ive watched legit nonhackers go 34-2 in pubs (gotta love LAN). Your comment about 30-0 is invalid.
Other than that i agree.
He's probably just talking about the majority. Chances are a 30-0 score would be a hacker. And let's face it, you don't see a pro with a 30-0, or 30-(1,2,3,4) kinda of score everygame. So please don't just try to down this thread.
