Breaking news & new problem
Ok,imma start with the bad news:
I have absolutely no idea wdf's going on with my internet. I was at home today (none of my family on at the same time,nobody downloading stuff etc) and I was getting a stable 250+ in uk5. Later,my dad started downloading and I was getting 400+. Now,i'm not blaming the servers or cf because i had similar lag on vent [i managed to spike to 2,897 and not lag out!!]. So.....I don't think it has anything to do with the weather. Where i live,its cold but not snowing unlike further up the country where there's a couple of inchs of snow. Any idea on wdf is going on,and how to fix it? I've already re-set my modems a handful of times,but no difference.
Now,for my breaking news: I've finally got a mouse =P Microsoft 3000. However,I won't take it out of its box until I figure out if I have a problem with my internet,since I won't play that much if i have a constant 500 ping so then buying the mouse would be a waste of money. If the problem is pernament,or I don't have the money to fix it,then i'll return the mouse and get my money back. Now....................... suggestions?

Have you talked to customer support about it? they might know what it is.
I had the same sort of problem before, with lag - I can't remember what was wrong, but i'll find out tomorrow and let you know. -

1.Get some ice cream to calm down (OPTIONAL)
2.Get your money back.
3.Use Ccleaner
4.Defrag your hard drives
5.Get rid of all your useless crap.
6.Buy a Smoothie to relax (OPTIONAL)
7.Try Again to see if you lag
8.Contact your Lawyer (OPTIONAL)
9.Say "K*Pocky you are awesome" (OPTIONAL but please do it)
10.Buy new computer and get high speed internet. (Emergency)
11.Go up to a lagger and Pump some lead into em and say "Dis Internetz Mine Noob!" (OPTIONAL butfun

Well there's not really much you can do. I presume your English, I vaguely remember someone saying you were British. So if you have that ping on UK servers I don't know what you can do other than getting a new Computer and/or Internet Package or Router. It's probably hardware not a system problem. I get a 30 ping when playing CF even though I have an awful laptop. It's my decent Internet though.
I would recommend you do something about your Internet connection unless your computer is absolutely awful, if that is the case get a new rig and do something about your net

So if you have that ping on UK servers I don't know what you can do other than getting a new Computer and/or Internet Package or Router. It's probably hardware not a system problem. It's obvious your router's problem and not CF's. It seems you tried everything already so I would suggest buying a new router. You can get a good one that will provide you with stable ping.
If you are not connected to the router by cable (aka using wireless) I would reccomend to do it as it might be the problem. -

And at the random american guy, there's a good chance that like +10% of the americans in this game have a very tight connection to Ireland. Also,I obviously play in uk server where I SHOULD get like 33 ping but now its at least 250 and spiking to like 800.
Also,to the people saying I don't play anymore: I'm retiring after this wogl season. We're looking healthy for a place in the play offs, but won't be very good if i'm playing with 400 ping obviously. And I want to go out on a high, by at least getting to play offs and hopefully going a few steps further - which is someone that quite a few people in this thread will never manage to achieve.
Anyway,i'll try see whats going on with the routers and see if anything works. I don't know anything about my internet since I amn't the one paying for it or organizing the problems. Besides,I don't understand a thing about any sort of electronics. -

THERES A BIG IRISH FLAG BESIDE MY NAME WITH THE LOCATION SAYING IRELAND.
LOOK AT THE MAP. IRELAND IS BESIDE ENGLAND. IT IS CLOSER TO ENGLAND THAN IT IS TO CANADA SHIITSTICK.
btw,i don't need to cheat. Also,i can do pretty well against decent teams with this ping, where you cant even go positive against the same teams with -50 ping. -
i got 220ping stable in uk 1 110 in uk5 and 20-30 in uk 3-4 i think its the problem with the severs and your isp or provider rust
maybe they got an error around your location?

talk to your internet provider!It's the only way that you can fix your problem.If you have a high speed connection(cable) your ping should be around 20 if you live in Irland.If you have any other type of internet conection than...it's nothing much that you could do..Also you should check your system for viruses,your modem settings,and it is also posible that someone may be stealing from your bandwith(internet). -
