Terms used Incorrectly

Gringo =/= United Statian's
The real story of the term Gringo has been lost in the ages but the meaning of this term derived from a slight misunderstanding.
The term gringo was created in the Mex-Amer war, when the United Statian's invaded(marched into) Mexico, the Mexican people called out ~"Green go" Home~ since the United Statian's army dressed in green. It soon became a slang term in Latin America to speak to United Statian's as 'gringos'. Almost no country but Mexico and a few Central American countries use this term correctly (the correct way to use this term would be when speaking of a foreigner of any country). In United States this term is depicted as racist because of the many lowly educated 'Latinos' who came & come to United States use this term incorrectly.

American =/= People born in the United States
This term has been used incorrectly and unfairly since the making of the United States of America.
United Statian is a polemical term used to describe people from the United States of America. For historic and cultural reasons, people from the States refer to themselves as "Americans", whereas in all of Latin America, the word "américano" refers to anyone from the Americas. Therefore Latin Americans refer to people from the States as "estadounidenses" (United Statians) rather than "americanos".Many Latin Americans would like to change the English term "American" to "United Statian" and the word "American" to refer of all people from the Americas (North, South and Central).
