Game Updates

Cross Fire unveiled its new Ribbon Achievement system this week. Hopefully everyone has had a chance to check out their clan profile to see which Ribbons they have got! It may not be something that everyone likes, but it gives some additional things that we can do with the game and the site and have even more involvement in the game. When we give out some additional cooler things like new forum/site features, awesome gear and weapons for your account it'll start looking a lot more attractive to those who might have quickly gotten the first 10 we have released. But then again, you can't really go wrong with an extra 5k GP now can you?

Some things to remember about the Ribbons:

• When a Ribbon is awarded (you have met the requirements) it will show up the "next" day on your profile.
• When a Bonus prize is awarded it will be given to the account when the Ribbon is awarded on the Clan Page.
• Ribbons are calculated per visit to the page. So in order to see which Ribbons you have, and to qualify yourself for any prize you must check your clan profile page! (this is done to save our hamsters from keeling over).

It should be noted that if you do enough to get the first 10 Ribbons, then you should visit your profile page to get the 11th ribbon. When you get the 11th Ribbon it will show up the next day, so you have to visit your profile page again to put the reward on your account.

Keep checking back, there will be 4 new Ribbons being released next week. You might need a sniper rifle for those, so be ready!


Competitive Updates

WOGL will be hosting 2 tournaments for the Holiday season sponsored by us! There will be over 200,000ZP in points and prizes to be won! The tournaments will be a 1v1 ladder and a 3v3 ladder. Check back over the next few days about more information for these tournaments! Signups will begin on Monday Dec 6th.

WOGL is also looking for staff for Cross Fire. If you feel that you're up to the task have a look here and send in your application!

Clans looking for players shouldn't be affraid to consult the Clan Section of our site, there's always good players looking for a home. eG_strapzy is calling all EU players in the hopes to gather some people for a clan. And in particular MrNo0b123 is a sniper looking for a clan, if you missed it the first time, you might need to be looking to polish your sniper skills soon!

There is a North American Draft Happening this Friday. And there is usually an EU draft happening on Fridays as well, check out the details in their respective threads if you're looking for some great competitive action!

And lastly, Secular Gaming has started up their 1v1 ladder. Throw down your predictions and follow along here! If you like what you see then get involved in the next one!


Community Happenings

There's been less going on in the community these days. A lot of hate, where is the love? The holiday season approaches. Tis the season to get posting and lets talk about the good stuff!

We did some upgrades on the data servers in the last patch. We didn't expect to see much in the way of a ping reduction, however some people have seen some. We're still looking in to whether this is a mistake or real, either way, Philly wants to know if you can beat his ping!

The Monthly Missions are Egypt for December. Some people are worried it might hurt their K/D!? Do what this editor does, load up that KRISS and don't stop going forward! To hell with K/D's!

This is an old thread, the Guide of Guides that needs some lovin'. Make sure to add to it! And make sure to suggest to the mods or to the Urban Warfare email (listed below), guides that should be featured more!

And lastly, if you haven't already got on it. Get on it! The PEW PEW Train is leaving town and it needs you on it! Someone make a video of that for the lols please!!!!


Events and Promotions

Our November stuff is over. And the December holiday season is just getting started! As mentioned look for some Tournaments starting up for holiday fun. And we've got some Massive things coming up in December. Some will involve Christmas and the Holidays and others will just involve you and a lot of guns and a lot of CF action!

Don't forget that the Holidays means year end reviews! MMOSite is voting for their Readers Choice awards, make sure to vote!

If you haven't caught the hints yet, we'll punch you in the face with them. Or should I say adjust that scope for the headshot of information that you'll want to hear!

Next week is Sniper Week! A week long celebration of our favorite long-barreled-scope-adjusting-one-shot-one-kill weapons! If you aren't familiar with the theme weeks we've done in the past, you can expect everything from in-game events to extra sales in the mall, promotions and giveaways and everything you can think of that involves all sorts of Sniper Rifles.

And as mentioned this time around we will be featuring our Ribbons front and center. Events and achievements will be awarded not only with items and gear but with Ribbons you can display on your profile that tells everyone you did some serious owning during Sniper Week!
