you're right about that. In real life the mp7 can penetrate through armor due to the bullet size. The kriss uses .45 ACP rounds that are stopped by armor. I don't know the m12s bullet specs though in reality the m12s fires slower. And in the topic of real life guns and ammo, the scar light uses the same ammo as the m4 while the scar heavy uses 7.62 mm rounds. Z8 has a tendency to over power guns that don't need it.
But then again, this is a video game, most people don't speculate real life gun information like I tend to do since I have a lot of time on my hands waiting to get into navy boot camp. -

lol SCAR H's bullet is not that long, it's 7.62x51mm NATO -

On the note of being as strong as the M9. I actually checked the damage of the m12s to the m9 pistol. Damage is indeed similar, however the m12s has a massive fire rate so it seems like it's stronger. But the m12s is still a 2 hit shot to the head to kill. Just the fire rate overcompensates for the damage marker.
