More stable ping?

Any tips i can get a regular 79 ping in alpha for about 30 seconds before i spike to 2900 then back to 79

used to happen to me but it was a program called modem booster that messed it up and i just deleted it and i was fine

It's the server.

Reset your modem a few times if it keeps happening.

If not, contact your ISP or wait, it may be the servers. If not, just contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them to help you sort it out.

This same problem happens to me. After the patch though, my normal ping began to show but it still would rise over 100 during certain times. If the Dev's worked a little harder on the patch, the problem would've been gone.

So now I'm waiting 'till the next patch for a fix!

do you have wifi? if you do there's nothing you can do but switching your isp
