How to REVIVE CF Forums
Lately I've noticed that the forums are quickly becoming argument based threads. They are what I called OGA's. Online Gaming/Gamers Arguing. This is pathetic. These, if you will, kids, got to stop acting like they, either know so much, or think they are untouchable because this is the internet. Forums are meant to be discussions, NOT HAVE ARGUMENTS OVER WHO IS WHO, OR WHO IS BETTER, and people should realize that not only is this JUST a game, that is or used to be A GOOD GAME.
I'd like to call out the good people of forums to come to this thread, and post what YOU can do to help this cause.
I'd like for the real forumers to take over forums, and dump all the ones who does nothing but troll.
I think this is a serious issue, and with a lack of a good forums, the direction of the game would be pointless, (IE Everyone complains about what each new patch has, but no one has the guts to just shut up and play. No one ever suggests anything, and if they do, a billion of other people goes and destroys that post).
Last, to help this cause, I THINK THE ADMINS SHOULD ADD a "LIKE" button for different posts. The more "Likes" someone gets, the more he or she could post a day. If someone doesn't really get "Likes"(they just go around starting pointless arguments, or saying racist things) then they shouldn't be allowed to post more than 5 times in a day or something. I think this will work because if people don't go onto forums, then, they usually are the ones who comes on here to just rant about things. It isn't bad, but they'll be the ones trolling.
What do you guys think? Let's get some darn respect back into the Forums. And if you guys type in "Like" in this post, maybe they'll do something about this.

Well it's mostly due to the fact that they realized posting and suggesting here is relatively useless as the authors/devs of the game NEVER take a look at what we say. Although, Z8 does encourage us "Respectables" or "Influentals" to help out with the community steering them in the right direction, which nowadays is Munzta's, Trons & Sir's.

Well, the karma system being implemented would create much more action and more people stepping up to help out. Other than that, that is a pretty good suggestion. Many helpers need to come. The few that we have at the moment don't cut it because of the amount of trolls out there at the moment.
What I think, is that more action being taken against trolls, and not just silly "warnings" for troll posts. -

Yes, exactly. They are not afraid to get punished, because they know it won't be much of a punishment. I say, being a little more harsh against trolls would be a sign that the MODs are taking things seriously and that people shouldn't fool around. -

But the thing is, many trolls don't stop the trolling at a ban. Moderators do ban these rule breakers, but nothing stops them from making an alt or changing their IPs.
Even so, pardon me using the forumer TastyLimes as an example, people get banned, make new accounts, continue, get banned again, and keep doing that until they get bored. The moderators can't just keep following them around and banning them, it's their life that matters more, not their online moderating job.
Taking it seriously is needed, as most moderators are, but working overtime isn't always the best way to go about things. -

Most often times, I would guess, that those who changes IP are those who are closely tied to hacking. Because again, why else would you need to change IP ever so often? I know its such a difficult task to ban these people. But the point is, if they troll, and they don't have as much , say, Karma, or "LIKES" or whatnot, then they can't really make new accounts, to just post stupid and pointless things. That's how you can control it. -

Changing their IP is as easy as unplugging and replugging your modem in some cases. IP Bans can relate to anything, such as advertising or trolling. You can be banned from the forums. -
The hope is, that kids and people CAN grow up and realize, this is just a game. So take it seriously, and just play the game the right way. Discuss things in the way you talk back to your moms. YES I SAID MOMS. Its ok to disagree people, but its so freaking stupid to just start getting angry or stuff like that, and post things that are either racially discriminating OR, pointless.

What's wrong with that?
Apparently anybody who makes intelligent threads is trying to model Polleus
.
I don't agree with that "stereotype". To think about it, I'm making an intelligent discussion this week about stereotyping others. -

Oh the stupidity. -

If you never heared of him you should remember his name.
I wasn't contacted just for the threads I was making. I was contacted for how I conducted myself overall on the forums and how I actively interacted with the community on a daily basis. You just don't get a Moderator position because of the threads you make. Quite a few people have made MUCH better threads than mine.
Creating threads that are purposed to try and help the community is what EVERYONE should be doing. It shouldn't be viewed as a "rarity" or a "copy of someone else". This should be a day-to-day thing.
"How can I help today?" What is missing is the fact that not a lot of people are willing to stand up and talk about it in fear of being called a MOD Wannabe or Copycat or some other name. This needs to change. -

This is very true. I have talked to many players who actually are very intelligent, but are extremely scared to speak up in fear of being trolled, or being judged for what they believe in. In today's society, that's called oppression, and should be averted.
The rules aren't recent anymore, I suggest a revamping and making them more serious with more consequences. The hurt needs to stop. -

Which is why the superiors make fun of you behind your back, oh wait, that's classified.
You really give us something to talk about. Don't you care about what us online no lifers think about you
? -
While I fully respect the moderating team, if things are going to change, they need to enforce the forum rules that have been defined. Why have rules if they are only "sort of/sometimes" enforced?
There are too many kids on here running their mouths seeing how far they can troll...friken boot em! F11 F11 F11 lol -

until then keep working on that post count
You still have yet to win a league/LAN and post pictures as proof.
In fact, the only picture that you've posted in a while is your picture, which unfortunately is the same one every other week, and a screen shot of way back when, when you beat LPK.
You're not a legend, you're a fraud who just happens to be good at a shooting game. Gratz. -

if people are scared to post on an internet-forum board because of ''trolls'' then i feel bad for their lack of confidence.
i wonder what it must be like for them in real life. -

Who said I was scared. I said many people are scared. The worse thing that you can do is spend money to find me in real life and attempt to do something that I really could care less about. I could care less. Me hiding behind a computer screen is almost as bad as you hiding behind your "troll accomplishments".
Until then, have fun in your little "motorbike" from online shopping..
I'm ignoring you starting now
