If you don't go to church, or don't believe, then you should. It will change your life!
: )
Idk how old you are, but adults don't have imaginary friends. -
You believe that Jesus the physical person have lived for over 2000 years and is still walking amongst us?Okay, I'll be 15 in the begining of January, and if you honestly think that Jesus is imaginary than, I'll pray for you.
Pay attention in chemistry, you'll see where that reasoning fails. -

The only thing chemistry can prove is that we can never comprehend the complexity of the universe. -
A story written 2000 years ago is to be taken with the truth that comprehension then was not the same as now. Having said that, I still see some truth in the story. I am the type of man who likes to cover all my angles. Dont like to wake up with egg on my chin and I dont talk unless I know what I am talking about. Be nice to find out it was all true too:)

Do you believe in fairy tales? I know I don't. The Bible and the other "holy books" are the culmination of millennium old mysticism, they tell a story that works like a fable. If you push the research deeper and with an open-mind, you realize these stories were written and rewritten times and times again throughout History, perfected in order to seduce the masses.
Do God exist? Perhaps.. I believe there is a reason for everything, but I also study cosmology and it makes me wonder and wonder more about the idea of a Creator, or at least initially. Comes in the multiverse string theories and you realize the UNIverse is actually not so UNIque anymore. Imagine being a little bug in the corner of a room, how the hell could you be aware of other rooms in other houses across this planet, and on other planets too?
That's what we represent in the bigger picture of Everything, we know little and we comprehend little. If I'd be Christian or whatever, I'd encase my mind into ignorance and be a slave to old mysticism. I'd rather die with still an insecurity about afterlife but at least I asked myself the real questions.
There are billions of stars in our Milky Way Galaxy, there are billions of galaxies forming what we call galactic filament structures. These structures form the "observable universe", thus not counting the majority of dark matter and dark energy present around us. M-Theory shows us that there could be billions of Universes also, perhaps even forming an even bigger structure.
And we're still debating on our quiet Earth if Jesus really existed, as if it actually mattered.
You guys have a good day. -

The bible has never been rewritten, it's been carefully copied throughout it's existence and the truth found in it cannot be denied. please do not compare it to those other "holy books".
If anything the complexity of what you've said proves god's existence, makes more sense to me then believing I am just some random accident that happened to form from nothing.
If I throw the parts necessary to build a watch into a container, bury it, and come back 10 billion years later, will it be a working ticking device? I highly doubt it... Things don't just happen, if you want to believe that, then by all means, but stop looking down on people who think differently. -

"No political or religious discussion of any kind will be tolerated on the forums. These kinds of conversations almost always devolve into insult contests or flame wars."
Shouldn't mods know this?
Saiden has tolerated such discussions before as long as it didn't turn to flaming. The mods know this. -

I don't trust religions. I never actually said I didn't believe in God or whatever name shall we give it.
But I will look down in pity on people who stubbornly refuse to see the bigger picture out there and are just feeding on biblical facts.
Then let them do their job if they see it as justified.Shouldn't mods know this? -
It's in the rules, lol.
If they say they aren't going to tolerate something then why are they being hypocritical and letting them do it?
I wasn't questioning the rules in effect, in fact the subject captivated me and I had to share my view on it. Is that considered an infraction? I don't know, I don't make the rules here.
But yes, very touchy subject. Perhaps we should let this thread rest from now on. -
Wowwww, a book that has been maintained for 2000 years never lost a word in translation?Max_Skillz wrote: »The bible has never been rewritten, it's been carefully copied throughout it's existence and the truth found in it cannot be denied. please do not compare it to those other "holy books".

You have too much faith in humans sir.
Anyway, I kind of wanted to keep this going but as random forum wiseass points out, I shouldn't.
