Wordl War 3?
So if you have been watching the news lately there have been some conflict with North Korea and South Korea. Apparently, South Korea was having a military practice/excersise on some island with North Korea said dont do it and they did. North Korea deployed and used an artillery strike and i believe did it once more and killed like 2 civilains. South Korea is backed up by the UN i believe but China is backing up North Korea. This could turn into a large disaster and with modern nuclear technology it could be the end./Discuss.

No it is not. If we try to control anyone else ATM. Other Countries will be very very upset
They already are.
But I don't think Obama will risk an open conflict with China. The US are trying to recover from the image Bush gave them, they have to learn from their mistakes and not try to take over the world like the old British Empire did.
We're not waging wars with ships of the line and standing armies, our weapons can cause massive destruction nowadays. Going to war is a risky business that our leaders should be cautious about. In the end, the casualties could be higher than any other wars.
War.. war never changes. We send our youth to fight for old men's conflicts. -

We can't even risk being on a worse side with China.
I think the USA just has to stay out of it for now. -
USA needs to stay out of it.
100% agree, we dont need to fight another Korean War and fight in the Middle East too
Honestly all this time I thought North Korea was hostile to every country except the rouge ones, but why would China want to help them is what I want to know >.> -
It is not that they would help them. It's the face that we do not know how they would react if the USA once again got involved with and tried to control things once again.100% agree, we dont need to fight another Korean War and fight in the Middle East too

Another tension between the Koreas. In my 16 years of life I saw so many misunderstandings and confronts between both countries that I just don't find this one bizarre.
Hundreds of deaths, destroyed cities, children crying. Should be a routine for them, unfortunately. -
There will be no WW3.
Theres a high chance that North Korea and South Korea will fight though.
i cant remember where but i read this predictor guy saying N Korea will drop a Nuke on South.
Then south will put a nuke under the ground and when the N Korea troops go over it, they will ignite it.
Idk after that. But theres no WW3. lol -
Ask yourselves, why do we think North Korea is such a rogue country if not because their Fearless Leader is an egoistical being, a tyrant wishing for supremacy. The end doesn't justify the means.
I'm not blind as to think every North Korean would think the same way, when you oppress a population and then demoralize them, they will be easily ruled upon, they will have no choice but to blindly support the current politics.
Kim Jong-Il should rot in a prison for the rest of his years so the population can be freed, or at least given a chance to strive for themselves. A war with them might seem inevitable but there is always a way.
I remember something that I read from the Pacific War 1941-1945. An American officer was saying how much he felt bad about killing Germans while on the European Theater, he saw them as fathers and citizens drawn into false idealisms, but on the Pacific Tour, every Japanese he killed he saw them as rabid dogs who deserved nothing else than total annihilation. It struck me as the Nippon weren't exactly that different, but the perception of them was somehow different due to many reasons.
I do not wish the same towards North Korean people, we know little about them and I refuse to let a rotten leader give me a reason to hate a whole population.
Do not ask me how to resolve this conflict for I do not know. What I do know is that I will always refuse to take arms against them.
