[Reminder] European Draft
Posting this a day earlier than usual to try and spread the word a bit more. Had a great turnout first week but a poorer showing the following week. Would like to urge people to come and support this.
European draft taking place on Friday at 20:00 GMT on the EU Pug Ventrilo.

link gives Page not found. i'm up for it. few questions 1 i got no clan 2 i got a solid 40 ping or lower OR i get 228 ping something with uk servers also i won't be able to log till about 12pm gmt am opening a new restaurant tommorrow.i can't join with 228 ping... it should be 47 or 32 anything else is a waste of everyones time.
next time.... my headset fails just tested. -
No draft due to lack of people turning up. Something needs to happen in regard to the more competitive side of the European community. It's either dead or dying rapidly.
Only two matches were played in week 3 of WOGL-EU.
WOGL stopped hosting European drafts due to poor turn-outs.
It has become an effort to try and get 10 people to come pug on the European Pug Vent.
So, drafts on the European Pug Ventrilo have been suspended until there's either enough interest to start hosting them again or Europeans actually start pugging again.
Just a shame to think people on this side of the Atlantic Ocean prefer to pub it up or play tense scrims in the clan server. -

Its how this community works. Hype something up, visit it a few times and then get bored. Wouldn't be a problem if just a few people thought like this, but when everyone does it - projects die.
(And I'll blame todays absence from me on having something else rather urgent to do, but I guess it wouldn't have mattered) -
i tried who are europeans? i was born in germany, raised in UK lived in france did my base in british forces, was forced into military in germany and then kicked out when they realized i had done a stint in royal army. they made me work in the mortuary of 1 of colognes biggest hospitals. i then met a polish girl, they werent european back then, i lived in london since 2001 and now live in vienna in austria. after 20 yrs uk 1 year israel, 3 yrs france 1 yr poland 2.5 yrs germany and now i live in austria... don't use the word european lightly, because europe fails spectacularly and is to broken to see its strength. anyway i fix headset and maybe you can point me at a clan needs a ak'er or mid range tapper.

Doesnt help that ROC, Seals, dXe, subConscious etc arent active at all.
Also barely none of the above pug,and the Polish (cefo & tg) don't play and either do the PT's which sadly,make up a big portion of the eu community. -

Yeah, but its not like theres a lack of EU players really, they're just really spread out.
I don't know if 8 is the right time, or Friday the right day, but without community input, its IMPOSSIBLE to change anything. -
Probably a thread about this somewhere but will ask anyway how do i even get started in this WOGL.Do you start up crossfire through their system?how do they check what guns you have etc,and also what exactly is ventrilo just a headset and channel can i play if i don't have headset?.Maybe ii am too old its probably better i stick to pubs.

Well,if you think about it Dot :
Around 35% of the UK servers are turks.
25% PT & Spain
10% Polish & Eastern Europe
5% UK
15% Belgium,France,Netherlands,Germany etc
10% other nationalities
All estimates of course,but look at how low the number of people are from the main competitive countries. Only a tiny fraction of the EU community is interested into the competitive side of this game.... -
There aint enough decent eu players that willing to play with decent english.. since the english of most eu people are poor they dont know how it works what it is and just play the game and pub. otherwise its pretty sad that there isnt really and competive eu side.
there are some competive teams but not much.

Yeah the english of some EU poeple IS poor,but don't forget english is not their first language.How many english speak other languages.Quite embarassing. -

Meant to reply to this yesterday but had no time. The first EU pug had its drafts on Saturdays, first few went pretty well. Then it changed to Friday and was no real change.
WOGL had their EU drafts on Saturdays this time, so we didn't want to clash with them.
And since most players are generally from Central Europe, 20:00 GMT seemed the best time.
But days and times don't really mean anything when the will to play just isn't there.
