Solution to the problem: File is Changed

This thread shows you how to make the patcher patch the game because in some reason,
the patcher doesnt update after a new patch

So here is the solution
(Added some photos for dummies)

1) Locate your crossfire folder which is in the place you've chosen to put it

2) Find the file "version"

3) Before opening it ensure first that the read only settings is unchecked

4) Open it and change the number of LatestVersion into the next number. For example the number is 1052, change it to 1053(the file shows the version of your engine)

5) Then save it. Make sure you recheck the read only file

6) Then try opening the game. It should patch now


It saves you time by downloading and installing it again
( I made this thread for some people who dont know how to)
Note: This doesnt work when maintenance is taking place :P
because some dummies do that
