FILE IS CHANGED : W[2007] L[0] crossfire.exe

since today afternoon i am getting this error, in both my pcs

1) win xp 32 bit - SP3

2) Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 Bit

does anybody know y ?..any known solution ?

i cant even access my clan page..says i don't have a clan!!

any help would be much appreciated!

Hello, hope this helps. go to ur program list and look for your z8 games folder, crossfire folder. inside the crossfire folder, look for the file version.ini. right click the file and open the properties tab. uncheck the read only button and click ok to apply. next, open the version.ini file. it should be in a note pad similar format. look for the file -latest version. change the number to 1054 and save the file. right click the version.ini file again and check back the read only button. You should be able to play now, this way saves so much more time than to download the game. Good luck! Cheers!!

I've changed and worked version.ini
But now with the new update was broken again

Do the same thing, except change the version number to 1055. if the same thing happens for the next patch, just increase the version number by one and so forth for all the future update patches. Cheers!

Error

I had this problem and after uninstal and download the game I have another problem...

"Failed to download patch file"

Can someone help me?

the LatestVersion is 1069. I tried with 1055 and another error: "Your clinet is invalid version.Re-install the latest version game client."

tried this method, put it to the 1069 (todays version) but when i run it, it changes it to 1068 again

edit:

change it to 1069, then change it to read only IF ITS NOT ALREADY CHECKED, then it downloads patch. btw im using windows XP

somebody help this problem i'll try to delete ang re-isntall the crossfire but still not work even i try to put the cf.exe in avast antivirus still the error coming up FILE IS CHANGED w[2007][0]L some body help me i almost 2yrs palying this games just now errr always ...many thnx if u can help me

I had this problem myself. It was my antivirus causing it. First I went to my virus chest and restored the file, then I made it so my anti virus doesn't read my Z8 games folder. Worked for me.
