Ping fail, help would be nice.
Sigh..... my ping is now 220 in the servers Alpha - Foxtrot. In the Uk servers it's 120 and in the west coast it's 78 and in both the south servers it's 65.
Why do I care, be cause I live in Ohio. The north eastern part of the US. About 3 weeks ago I was getting steady 32 ping in the servers, then during the night it would rise to 80.
The reason Z8 is failing is not only because I get lower ping in the uk servers than the ones in my backyard, but because every time I have sent in support tickets they give me a lame, standard, bs answer. Like "it's you IP company and shi*t " How would it be my provider if my ping stays the same in all the servers but the regular ones?
As I said I have had 32 in these servers now increased by 200. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.
Sigh... I should just farm and join snypers. Or maybe just start calling people hac.kers.
PS- Mods, maybe you could give input that might tell me something useful or help, not some bs you tell every BR that has 230 ping. Before you say like "this is useless" I have sent more info about it to your "support team" but you know how well they deal with issues that matter ( and yes haveing 200+ ping above normal does matter). Any hope to get my ping down would be nice. But I doubt anyone can give a response that will help but im trying. But what ever...

Please check if you have bitorrent or Utorrent open in the bottom right corner of your screen right click and exit as they do lag you. Some questions?
Do you have a password on your Internet Connection?
Whats the speed?
Do you have any programs on while playing?
Are you downloading or someone in your family downloading while your playing? -
Same, I have the exact problem. I wondered if it's because of a antivirus program?
I also don't think it's my internet provider because when I use Ventrilo the ping is normal everytime. During these times 8:00 and 12:00 my ping jumps to 100 CONSISTENTLY.
For god sakes what is the problem with maintaining your servers? -
I have heard multiple reports of user's pings going up. I have a friend in NY who pings off the servers at 30 ping but his in-game ping is 66 and steadily rises throughout the night. It's quite possible the servers are experiencing a load amount above where they are supposed to be at. I'm only guessing here, lol.
The fact that you live in Ohio and have a lower ping in UK servers, now that is weird. I couldn't even begin to explain that one. I can ask around tomorrow and see if anything is going on with the servers. Other than that, I wish I could help you more :-/ -

actually you're right im in NY too and im usually at a smooth 40-50 now im at about a 60-70! -

Yes this is exactly my problem. Will there be a fix for this ever?

I have the same exact problem. I have SUPER lag in the servers. The only thing I have running when I play CF is Gamebooster and CF of course. I spike from 85-1000+ for some reason SINCE Mutation event. Before, I had 75-81 -.- So the only server I can access freely without lag is West Coast server, which is boring the crap out of me because I can't play with my friends and I feel bad for having them to come to West Coast and have the lag while playing with me. It's not our Internet Connection. It's the Z8 Servers. When the "Downtime" for servers to prepare for Mutation Week, everything started to lag. That is what I believe is correct.

I used to run a nice 68-73 ping on the canadian servers but lately its been going up more and more. Now i run 95-100 and from the looks of it im gonna be pinging like a br soon. Weired thing is my ping on the none canadian servers has not changed at all so there has to be something wrong with the servers themselves. Either way i still run a nice 9-12 ping in the west coast but i gotta play on the canadian servers for scrims :S

Lol, I have a similar issue but it's a weird one. I live in South-West Florida. Very close to Miami, yet my ping in Miami Server (US Southern) is like 103 - 110. In West Coast server 120. So Miami (only like 45 min away) is 10 less ping than a server in Cali which is like 3k miles away? Also The Toronto Servers (Alpha and what not) I ping at 89-90. Weird stuff, feels bad man

Yeah i experience the same ping in most servers in North America, but im gettin 140 in Miami and 90-120 in alpha-bravo-delta :S I live in Colombia and Miami is the closest server but i get higher ping there... No wonder why brasilians dont choose US Southern servers to play with.

Also, every 5-10 minutes I'm spiking to well over 6000, yes...6k and stay at that mark for about 15 seconds. I'm also seeing a lot of "Time Out" issues too.
I've been seeing a lot of people with pings at 50 jumping to over 300+ while in matches...and fluxing over and over back and forth.

I have the same problem bit mine is stranger cause I live in southern California and I usually get 90 ping on the torronto servers but now just like u said after the mutation event my ping is 300+ my ping on the uk servers is 200, and I live really far away from the uk, but I live far away from torronto to but my ping is better on the uk one which is strange. My ping is still the same on the us south server which is 110 and the west coast server is 20 still unchanged, and whenever I would play on the uk server, just to see what my ping would be it was always 200 so it didn't change. Now I have to play on the west coast server cause both 200 and 300 ping is unacceptable and 110 is pushing it, and the west coast server usually has only 1 channel full so there's not many people and it's kinda boring, and there is no west coast clan server. My Internet is time Warner cable and the speed is 20 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up and it hasn't changed. Maby the people that mantain the torronto servers don't do as good a job as everyone else, or maby the mutants took over lol.

i always see AT&T internet users with ping problems. Try upgrading your internet to comcast internet or Cox Communications. I have Cox internet and get 16-35ping in west server. 67-85 in canada servers. 150-160 in uk servers, and 85-95 in south servers. my ping used to be 100 in canada servers, then my dad upgraded internet, so now I get 70ping. I think people who live close to servers and have bad ping, is really an ISP problem. For me ISP was problem.
