Calling ATI (5770) Users - Help with Settings.

anyone found the best settings for CF using the 5770 or another ATI Card? its not a top notch card, but still very solid i think. i play all the recent games without graphiclags at all. just CF i get sometimes only 40 fps
which is no fun. i once used a setting where i would get average 80 - 90 fps in a full room, can´t remember though how i did that :)
so if anyone knows about the AA , AF and AI settings please enlighten me, as i do not know too much about graphiccards.

thx for help!

  • Well i dont own the card but i can tell you that crossfire FPSs are more processore dependant.. So basically your proccesor is the one that will give you most FPS, anyway good luck gettin the config :P (I own a 9800gt wich is worse than ur 5770 and i get 45-180 fps with a Athlon x2 Dual core 2.7Ghz)
  • LOL. Most of the time I get 45fps and it's quite ok, no problem. Why would u want 80fps? http://www.100fps.com/how_many_frames_can_humans_see.htm

leave all AA, AF to use application settings and leave AI on advanced

that's actually a pretty darn good graphics card, low fps is most likely do to a low clockspeed on your processor
  • I get like 200fps, I didnt put any special config.

thanks. i run a quad core 2,60ghz at 8gb RAM . it does the job for all other games on my 24" screen. just cf gives me graphiclags on big maps with more players. so strange.

its a feel thing. i just notice that if i get alot of graphic lags, i wont make certain shots, like flickshots because i can´t get the precision. of course u can play at 45fps no question.

thanks i will try that. i am happy with the card, just wanted to mention that its not like the best card, shouldn´t make a difference for cf i think. any way to find out the current clock speed without entering BIOS?
