When ur at ur best or pretty good, and the next day u can't kill for crap.
Im under my skill crash, or "Noob Phase"
An solutions to get rid of this "phase"

Pub TDMs. Run around and frag/get fragged where nobody cares about your score and won't remember two minutes later anyway. People often psyche themselves out with these crashes, overthink them, and make them worse than they are. Just relax and play, you'll be back to normal soon enough.

Take a break from FPS's and comeback to CF later on. do something else for a while, (1-3 hrs. maybe) and then come back to the game refreshed..

of-course if you're really into it right now, and don't want to break for maybe and 30mins to and hour, you could always just pickup a good review article or News and read it, then come back to the game. (this usually works for me,) Or, try playing a flash game that involves aiming to get your perception and reactions in-tune before you come back to the game.

In some cases for me its maybe i play too many varied games, honestly, adjusting to something like COD can mess u up in CF.

Run around with an m12, spop, and armour. Simply hold down fire.

No skill required, therefore it would'nt be affected by your skill crash.

ye i often get those crashes, one scrim i top frag, the other i cant hit anything and end up bottom fraging horribly. best way to get around them is like dead said, pub it up.

The way I think it, if you play everything "for fun" such as not caring so much to an extent about a little Echo 8 scrim, the pressure doesn't rise or get to you when you play league matches. When you play, and could care less, that's when you can unleash your full potential. Playing under pressure is like going to work, you don't like it. But if you work at what you love to do, it's not work, it's fun. Like they say, if you love your work, you won't work a day of your life..

This happens to me too.

I played mw2 for pc for a few hours and now a I fail at cf today.

Keep playing for a few more days and you'll get your skill back again.

For some reason, playing with silenced guns or sound turned off makes me better.
