The life cycle of guns in CF
Early days: Just born (patched), A few people buy it, 100 posts on forums about it being fail. Some people like it, but only a few.
Youth days: Gets kinda forgot about, every now and again you see it but not too often.
Later youth days: People realize its good, everyone starts using it. Adv versions might come out.
Middle age years: Too many people get killed by it, and they yell out things why its "noob". (op, etc.)
Old Age: No longer accepted in society, gets banned from WOGL, anyone using it will get F11'd.
In the end, M4 and AK still reign supreme.

I found this story kinda true about me and my k2. I noticed k2 was a really accurate and low recoil run real soon after its released. BUt i rarely used it, not until this summer when everyone started using it and it became popular, until the day it got banned from wogl, it once again has become a forgotten weapon in my storage. Cool story eh??

If you're talking about the XM8.
Early days: It was bugged. The red dot sight was off, and thus it was useless.
Youth days: It wasn't widely used because of that previous problem. It eventually was patched a month later
Later youth days: People found out about the 100% wall damage
Middle age days: People in the competitive community complain because the gun can shoot through walls [a valid reason]

Yes, it was banned because of the drop glitch. The only people that moan about it are the people in bad teams who still can't frag because they think that the weapon makes the player, which isn't true 100% of the time. -
ok, so i was right about that, personally i still rate the K2 highly in the hands of a good player. this thread seems to be about Scar light and xm8 more than anything though, i really don't think K2 falls into the above mentioned bracket as its always been pretty much underestimated.

everyone hated the mp7 at first, everyone still say that it suckz....
Lol wait why can't the devlopers just like change the skin on guns or give them a boost in stats or nerd them a bit so that way it's fair I mean just look at the Winchester and Winchester scope
it :P but i belive ak 47 is not that good as most ppl think it is.. i own 1 and i do ok with it.. (ace almost even match) but i find m4 better but personally i live aug + deagle
