scar heavy does reference to it's ammo type, not it's weight, also, scar heavy and scar light are only nicknames they gave to the weapons, they're called mk16/17

scar heavy uses 7.62x51mm, the same ammo as the m14 rifle and the m60 machinegun, the scar light uses the 5.56x45mm ammo, wich is the same as the m4a1, also, it uses the same mags, the stanag mags.
besides the ammo, the scar-h and the scar-l only have difference in the size of their internals, intended to fit each one's ammo, and it's mag size (the scar-h uses a 20-round mag), so it's naturally heavier than the scar-l, but not that much heavier... (0.50kg heavier...) -
I think SCAR Heavy's weight is too much and it must be more lighter.

My SG550 has 5kg, and it`s really not a big rifle.
And if even I can carry this, a Scar H shouldn`t be a problem at all.
you can carry and fire confortably anything below 10kg, depending on the cartridge, and the sg550 is a long rifle, isn't it? O.o It should be harder to carry and aim because of the weight in the front of the gun .-. -

my brother wants some "custom" parts for his m16, like the gas rod and the extraction claw, he says that these will help a little with the conversion, he's actually trying to make the gun as accurate as he can ._.

Also he's asking for the price of the sr-25It can support a front grip, but why would you want one on a sniper rifle? As for the price, think its somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 USD, depending on how used it is.
