Disguise really,you can still get an enemies name when you point your crosshair at them through smoke,so you can kill an enemy through smoke without them realizing

I actually don`t use smoke grenades, just sometimes to confuse my enemy.
But yeah, throwing a smoke grenade to the way you`re walking along, just to hide yourself makes me knowing where you are.

just watch the WEM matches. It was mostly used to obscure passageways, for example the waterway in Mexico. Of course, you can still see the red names, but it still helps for setting up your positions / rotation.

Meh, at least that's how I interpret it. In GM, it's for seeing ghosts, but you knew that since you are GM pro and i am a GMbaddie

think of this situation

A 1v2 situation, last GR is in base, the 2 BL's are at b plat.
You throw a nade that covers the opening of the base and the walk-way to B. You then silently try to pick them through the smoke and then/or shift off of B bridge and flank them.

If you can be a smart player, it can be helpful, but most the time, its a waste IMO

I use it for SD when im in gr to cover myself when im defusing
other times when i see someone use it i know to aim at the opposite side

OP seems to understand my question.
We all know smoke works in gm.

I'm talking when and where to use smoke in a scrim.
To help improve strat calling and team playing capability.

For SnD I use it to slow an enemy down.
For MM I use it to lure a mutant towards the smoke.
For GM it's to find ghosts.
For TDM it's to lag newbs.

-never use it in TDM

I think that's all of them.

I use it because of its high ammo and accuracy
I use it because of its spread shot
I use it because it is light and a powerful single shot
