Synamatec Shared Component Error

I have Norton Security and every time I'm playing I always get this error in game. I was hoping to stop this since this is irritating. I turn on silent mode while playing and I've also gone into program files and changed the game from auto to allow. I was curious if anyone has had this problem and if they have a solution.

  • I'm also randomly getting disconnected from the game and shuts it self off. A box pops up and says "Disconnected from server". Curious if they were related

    No they aren't.
    That's router/internet related.

As for norton. I don't use antivirus... It's pretty useless.

Having experience with Symantec products, they tend to introduce system components that are highly intrusive and assertive. Since I do not recommend going without some sort of anti-virus, if you are near the end of your subscription you should just go ahead and uninstall Norton and get AVG or Avast. Those programs might complain when you start up Crossfire, but once you allow it you will not have this type of problem. And the bonus is that they are free to home users unless you want their commercial program.
  • Did you change the whole Z8Games folder to allow, or just your desktop Shortcut?
  • Well your first problem is that you have Norton. GL with trying to do anything on that computer.
  • I had the same prob. Then i got a brain a got a new anti-virus. Btw norton sucks S***; most vulnerable anti-virus. Suggest you get Kaspersky or McAfee. They are "Paranoid" anti-virus' but they work very well and dont interfere with your gaming.

/Agree norton is awful, BUT so is mcAfee. I've been a tech by trade for over 10 years and I would choose avg free if you want the best free, avast is good especially the pay and Kaspersky is decent as well.

To the guy that says antivirus is worthless good luck w/ that I run a very lite antivirus(as in no security packages) but you will end up just like the people that bring me there malware/virus infected computers if you run nothing.

First download superantispyware, avg free, ccleaner, smart defrag. Second get rid of basically everything else. Third scan w/ all of these after updating. Forth Profit!?!
