Cross Fire Error

So, every time I launch the game, the first game works fine.
However, when I go into the second game, whether it be an entirely new room, or the same room I was already in, the game crashes on the first shot I take.

I've tried running around for ever, and that I can do, but the first shot I take makes me crash.

The error says:
"CROSS FIRE ERROR"
"send Error report?"
"OK" "Cancel"

So, I have a trashy Acer Aspire Netbook, which can't run most games, it runs CF fine, and I haven't crashed on bigger games such as WoW.

I run Avast! Virus Protection, I have Windows XP Professional, 1012MB of ram, not a great computer for gaming, but it works when I need to kill time.

So, I've tried disabling all aspects of avast and the stock Windows Firewall, I've tried turning off the computer errors, I've restarted my computer, reinstalled CrossFire 4 times now, and I'm kind of drawing a blank as to what to try next.

So, if anyone else has had the problem, and has found a way to fix it, or if anyone has an idea of what I could try to fix it, I'd greatly appreciate the help.
