How Good/Bad is your computer thread?
It seems like alot of people don't have very good computers. I would like to see their specs and there FPS, (helps me to see the relationship of CF being CPU dependent)
Example Layout
OS: Windows XP 32-Bit
RAM- 4G DDR2 667 mhz speed
CPU - First gen Intel Quadcore
GPU- GTX 260
HDD - 7200 RPM 250GB
Monitor- 22.5" Acer 60hz
FPS (8v8) on 1440x900 - 65-80
FPS (less players) on 1440x900 - 114 FPS
2nd computer
OS: Windows Vista Premium 64-bit
RAM- 8G DDR2 800 mHz speed
CPU- AMD Phenom II 3x 705 2.5ghz
GPU- GTS450
HDD- 7200 RPM 320GB
Monitor- 17" Gateway
FPS (8v8) on 1440x900 - predicted (just fixed the rig yesterday) 80-90
FPS (less) on 1440x900 - 130
I believe this because my RAM is twice as high at a faster speed and also my 2nd computer has basically nothing on it, no start up programs, so less power is used. What is interesting though is that the first gen Quadcore is actually aroun 2900 benchmark compared to my tricore which is around 2279. But I will test later tonight

I'm guessing that your RAM is actually 4G of RAM, since the AMD II X4 is pretty new, I am also guessing that the RAM is DDR3. You have a pretty nice rig. I believe the Phenom II is a bit faster, but I will test it out, hopefully I'll get better FPSProcessor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor, MMX, 3DNow (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz

I am pretty sure that CF runs on a single core, so that may explain why dual cores are generally better than quad cores (Just pure ghz per core, I believe), but damn, you're FPS is about 40+ higher than mine and I am running a quad-core with a gtx 260 and more RAM. ill tell u stuff
i get 13 fps in a 1v1 with lowest settings, defragged computer, and gamebooster
my mouse pad is ripped up, my mouse is worth $2 and stops working every 5 minutes.
my keyboard has half its buttons jammed and dirty.
my monitor is basically ripped in half and my computer is dirty. -

Maybe its time to buy a new computer.....there not even that expensive. a 400-500$ computer and you're good to go, especially since GPU doesn't matter in CF (ofc you have to get a computer for needs other than CF too)
And whats the point of even playing with 13 FPS? Its nearly impossible for me to play with less than 60 FPS, it doesn't really match the monitors 60 hz or something and it just seems to lag. 13 FPS is basically unplayable. -

And no, I don't buy zp. -
