i had same problem my post also deleted crossfire team.... i dont know why is that.... but i found why this happening after last X-trap update it block ur * Fraps * u cant play with that software now u can play without * Fraps * go back back to game without it,,,,

Still 64 bit problems
Well I still had the 64 bit problem where the game just won't start. The first game page comes up to "start" the game. Xtrap seems to then load fine. Then after the 2 xtrap messages go away, nothing happens. No game. I can look on task manager and the HGDW or whatever it is shows up as running but no Crossfire.
I deleted all Internet Explorers, Shut off Avast, Spybot search and destroy, Adaware and Spywareblaster. Deleted Crossfire and Xfire and all their folders. Ran cleaner to delete what traces in the registry it found. Ran 2 other registry cleaner type programs to get rid of invalid registry entries. Redownloaded Crossfire client file. Set it up again in a totally renamed folder, as well as Xfire.
Same thing, nothing.
After the last patch Crossfire just started working again out of the blue after a week or so. This time nothing. Nothing on the 64 bit. Nothing.
32 bit still works. 64 bit - well nothing. -

admin... when do u think the problem will be sorted?
it's been happening for more than 2weeks. If you couldn't find out the solution please at least tell us that you are working on it. However, i didn't see any response from admin, this is rubbish man. =/ -
I got to 92% and step 10. Then it went away. This is usually when the game loads. Nothing happens at all. It's like the process is killed instead of being launched. no error comes up. I deleted, cleared install dir, cleared registry of cf data, did 2 virus scans, and restarted. I installed cf again. the patcher updated it as usual. again the game starts to load, when it reaches 92% or so at step 10. it then goes away. no error. just as if the process closed out once more. all other games on this pc run flawlessly. no corrupted hard drives or memory. all hardware is in optimal conditions. the last thing i downloaded was the 1st halloween patch. and it ran fine for about 3 or 4 days.
so my question is do you guys have an uninstaller, a professional one that gets everything out? any files i may have missed?
also i watch my network traffic, and although i first suspected a virus, i looked over my network traffic and packets with wireshark. and ran two separate scans NOD32 & TREND. if there is a virus it has not yet revealed itself. nothing else has changed on my pc. not hardware. software. nor firmware. nothing. at all. like nothing. well i did have sex with my sound card but that's a private matter and i highly suspect it was satisfied seeing as how it was playing al green.. so now what do i dooo. lemme know if you guys figured out some programming conflicts or something. later!
edit: I verified that it's the HGWC process that loads up and closes out at 92% without any errors or notifications. Now the actual HGWC.exe process does not actually close down, but rather the cpu load drops to zero. The actual gui loading box just closes out when it hits step 10. and the game never initializes -

Yep, the same answer to my questions about CF not working on Win XP 64 bit just 2 minutes ago.

Still waiting for an answer , ..... 15 without support answer,they don't care about people that can't run xp xD,they dont even tried to help,only thing some1 told me to do is to uninstall and reinstall the game-_-'what an nice idea ,never i would think of it by myself ,F*** Crossfire this game is S***

Well they still dont give me any answer to fix the fact that CF will not run on XP 64 bit. I guess I don't care anymore. Z8 doesnt. I play everything else (especially COMBATARMS . NEXON . NET) a ton and give them lots of money. Then I'll move over to my 32 bit system long enough to get the daily mission on CF so I can then go back to my normal 64 bit XP good gaming drive and play real games.

hey dude just make sure that the patch is done,u surely got the ancien CShell.dll, check modification date,should be the day when u make patch if not,repatch ,but dontthink an admin will try to help you -
i have file changed proplem too this HGWC dont load even for 1 percent and message appears (file is changed :W[2007]L[0] crossfire.exe) i i nstalled crossfire again this message still appears....i installed a new windows to make it run ! and still appears! i dont know what to do more than install new windows i hate this HGWC i hope z8 stuff adjust this tool because it make alot players out game

Those problem are due to an error of the patcher(frequent) ,Your file are just not patched,if some1 can send you those file,place it in C;/program files/z8games/crossfire and it should say do you want to replace (the file corrupted) by this one (the good one) ,you should see modification date arent same for both,say yes and there you go for people who have non-patched file

I havent been on CF for a while and when i reinstaled it it didnt want to work...
1. I opened the launcher
2. I pressed "START GAME"
3. then the launcher dissapears and the game does not load...it does NOTHING!its like i didnt eaven start the game >.>
I dont eaven have game watcher... (what is that btw? xD) was playing WoW for a bit xD lol same forum type on the WoW sight -
I now open the cross fire as doi click the icon, I get that you have to patch up there all right. But does not advance the first bar is full but the second this Amedia and put up this to 100% and no it is. Takes about 10 minutes without moving any of the bars and change anything.

Sorry for the English but estoi using a translator.
If you can not influence but now using a USB estoi where crossfire copy the folder from another computer in which at least worked last week to play the crossfire from another computer.
