Cannot reinstall~

I tried logging in, got DC'd before the login screen, something about XTRAP I think. So I decided to reinstall, see if it'd make my problem go away. However, whenever I try and download, it stops before 1% and says "Instant download has failed" or something similar.

Frankly annoying.

did you delete all the files (including replays) when re-installing crossfire?

Possibly a large part of both. Connection is awful and CF has a long history of causing undue violence to anything near my laptop.
