I tried the AWM...HATED it. Always having to click ONCE (Whats the zoom lvl? Not to good IMO) like with the starter rifle and then Q to knife (if you had it set right or had no pistol...) and move away is just annoying...what if my target also had an awm and THEY missed but neglected to move away? I could have just shot him if I had the DSR because I'd still have him on target.
Oh, and I didn't see anything about the other rifles in there, but I'm guessing those are banned because they are crate weapons (the semi-auto rifles, not dragonov)... -

They're a bunch of stupids. What's the point of banning game booster? I have 12 FPS in 5vs5 without it, how can i play?! -

No idea why users have to decide if a glitched gun should be allowed in a supposed to be "competitive" league.
Also @ sejanoz all what gamebooster does can be done manually within 30 seconds... -

The XM8 is a glicthed gun that does 100% wallbang. Because of this it's being abused by many ESL teams, taking advantage of it, killing the purpose of having more than one rifle in this game...
What a league should offer is a fair and wide weapon range making it more interesting, hence WOGL allows M4-Adv etc. But hence the g36 and XM8 are 100% wallbang, that isn't very fair, hence they are banned in WOGL. The better solution ofcourse is for Z8 to fix the guns. Make them fair, that way everyone wins, except the noobs who depend on a glitched gun to do good?LOL?
The only reason that Scar Light and XM8 are allowed in ESL is because the Admins use them? Dunno, that's what I keep hearing. Makes sense tho.
If in ESL the players get the vote, and half the players are teams who abuse the XM8, what's the point of voting. The XM8 is a unfair rifle, you don't need a public vote to find that out. All the public vote does is give you the rough number of PTs playing CF. The gun ruins competition and the purpose of having boxes in this game. Dot please feel free to add to this. -

yeah the method of rules decided by users I guess.
The people selected as admins are selected as admins because they're supposed to be more motivated, experienced and qualified than the regular user.
This to have a group of people that are able to make judgment calls like these on, for example, banning guns, without the users "consent" if you will.
Leaving these choices up to the users makes the admin group useless (only as a concept of course, I'm sure they're great people).
To assume the users are qualified - and willing even - to ban a glitched gun most of them are abusing just because they're given the option to do so and rely on their honor or whatever is ridiculous.
I wouldn't vote to ban the XM8 if I were in a position of power and used it myself. Of course not. Who would?
Thats what admins are for. Qualified judgment calls without being influenced, as the users are, by using the gun they're deciding on.
Get it together. Ban confirmed announced glitched and overpowered guns. "Lets all play with M4 and AK then, ahaha ban all guns" isn't a valid argument, sorry.
If M4 and AK were the only balanced guns - then they SHOULD be the only guns allowed. This of course isn't the case right now, as you only have to decide whether or not to ban all 100% wall-damage guns.
An easy choice - for a qualified group of admins. -
Personally, as an ESL admin, I don't agree with the banishment of the G36K, Type89 and DSR if the XM8 isn't banned. What's the point of banning two 100% wallbang efficient guns if the principal and easiest of them isn't? No sense.
Like dot said, admins are there to decide the rules, not the players. -
yeah everytime they lose they QQ about something. if this continue esl allowed weapons ill be m700 and m16 and then only knife and no flash or smoke cause make people lag.
Nah they banned game booster so i think they don't care a lot about people who lag.
