Differentiate ZP from ZP.

Right, so hopefully this might serve as a template of sorts for other people actually wanting to suggest something constructive, rather than the dime-a-dozen "BAN BRS OMG" threads.
I'd like to suggest differentiating ZP purchased for real money, from ZP freely given by surveys.
As it stands right now, there is of course no difference.
What it means for us who are - frankly currently stupid enough to purchase ZP, is everyone abusing the survey companies laughing at us.
Survey ZP should only work for functional in-game items, nothing from the item mall or 'site' related.
I just got a bit lazy so I'll skip ahead to the section everyone forgets:
Company gain.
G4Box will see an increase in ZP purchases and inevitably higher quantities (get paid a minimum of $9 per ZP rather than the occasional cent from the 200ZP surveys).
They will also see a decrease of functional item abuse, such as name changes et cetera which are now free to use for anyone spending a minute on surveys - a gold mine for cheaters enjoying 'invisibility' (in the form of cheating for a day, then changing their name).
Also it will aide the clan ZP system which is now pretty much useless as every clan can (and I assure you, most likely do have) one farmed account which donates the maximum amount daily of survey ZP.
I thought of something else clever but I forgot. This should suffice.
Anyway. Somewhat structured - and most importantly a company gain clause which is of course a requirement for a suggestion to be implemented - nobody wastes time and money on implementing functions that won't in any way benefit the company (or in a way they at least don't see, its up to YOU the poster to point it out).

I agree with your idea!I buy a shiitload of ZP and laugh at my own stupidity a bit every time. Assuming it goes for everyone giving money away voluntarily when theres a free option.

It's a bit hard to comment on this kind of post because there are legalities and company policy that we can't discuss.
However as with many things within the game, site, your account etc. We keep track of records. One of those records is the difference between survey zp and purchased zp.
However we try to treat all accounts in the same light, especially when dealing with negative situations. No amount or type of ZP stops you from getting banned if you hack, or break the rules etc.
We all know the hacking has been reduced (so far). But we're still banning players and zp players and everything on a daily basis.
It should also be noted that like all games, we keep track of things that happen on an account. Something like a name-change doesn't hide you from us. We can see when you've changed your name.
Knowing that fact, it becomes less of a problem for someone to "abuse" the name change. It's there, if someone buys the item then they can go ahead and do that.
Some of the other things that make buying ZP easier is that it is directly involved with a reputable company like us or paypal etc. If you purchase ZP and there is a problem there is ALWAYS a solution.
Surveys don't always have that option. Sometimes it can take extra time, or you can be charged extra fees without knowing it. We aren't affiliated with the survey companies. We provide space on our site for them to use that space for advertising. Often times this works out great because it gives a place for you to get ZP for a minimal effort. Plus it's also a great tool for people who are outside of the usual payment methods. Other times it doesn't pay the zp, or pays too little, or charges a hidden fee or whatever the case may be.
The point is, the surveys are there for an option. It's not our position to force any user either way.
But when it comes time to dealing with the account, we know the differences between the points, and all the activities on an account and when we have to handle a situation it doesn't matter who what or where they got their zp from. If a situation requires action by us we take it no matter what the "status" of the account is.

Consider this. Companies pay z8/G4box/whoever to post their surveys on the site. By people doing these surveys it encourages more companies to pay to have their surveys posted here.
The more people do the surveys= the more advertisement the companies get
The more advertisement they get= the more they will want to pay to get their name out (as it is being effective)
And, since there is an option to get free ingame money, more people will come play CF to get the "free" zp.
Is this making sense here? Or do I need to explain it some more. -
Should also add that knowing when an account does a survey as opposed to buying ZP directly will factor in to something we're working on for the future. But we're not ready to announce the details about that yet.

We wanted to get notice out on the weekend that this sale was coming. But its tough to work around things when its clearly stated 12pm. We try to do things like 12:01am and 11:59pm on events or promotions that start directly on the day.
Also, to add to the conversation by the original poster. If there was some sort of exclusivity for people who purchased ZP as opposed to doing surveys then the general public would just view that as a cash grab.
It's bad enough we can barely run a sale, or promotion without people assuming we're just throwing it down for making tons of money. Sometimes we just like to give out rewards, or reward people who purchase ZP. But then even the people who BUY ZP don't even see it that way.
It's often a lose lose situation PR wise for us in that situation. -

Buying the card doesn't change the days the contest was on.
The extra ZP comes when you redeem the points, not when you buy the card. So you could buy it before, wait for the points and then redeem today-next monday @ 12pm EST. -
