General Rage thread about Crossfire
Community:
- Everyone who plays this game is like 12 years old, so inevitable there is a lot of immaturity. This forum has been completely ruined by 12 year olds talking crap about each other.
- The competitive scene is also a waste of time, Bunch of kids who play all day then insult the others who actually have lives, and are not as good. Rediculous, if you want to brag about being the best on a virtual game, then grats. Do you do the same in real life? lol
- General QQing is also stupid, Some people blame all sorts of crap, EVERY time they die. It's .. ridiculous. You're meant to die on FPS games, You're not invincible, doesn't matter how "good" you are.
Moderation:
- The mods are like so much younger and more immature than most of the community. This is apparent by their abuse of power and general hypocrisy.
- No doubt i will get this thread closed instantly and get a ban, i guess truth hurts. Half of them used to make threads like this before they got mod status anyway, so they can kiss it.
- I'm not saying this about all mods, a few are good. But the majority are just.... kids..
Hackers:
- We all know this is a big problem, So i'm not gonna say much. But, How hard can it possibly be to change a view variable locations from time-to-time. z8games should just IP Ban all offenders. I don't care if someone used ur account to hack, or you hackked on a alt, Doesn't make it right.
Game in general:
- Expensive stuff, I've only really noticed how expensive this game can be since i stopped playing it. I know nothing makes you spend money on the game, but it's like a secret addiction. I was happily spending £200 a week sometimes. And if you want any realistic chance in this game, you have to buy ZP.
- Ping.. It changes constantly, for no apparently reason. I went from 90 (closed beta) - 120 - 99 - 190.. rofl.
Registry- Bollocks.. nuff said.
- Crappy patches and guns : Instead of fixing the serious faults in the game, they just release crappy items and guns noone REALLY wants. Seriously a AK47 with a pumpkin on the side? I could do better on paint..
- Malware on website..Rofl.

I quit CF like 2 months ago, and it was a good decision seriously. This game's like a heroin addiction, It's all good at the time.. But it gets out of control.. and screws you over.

Shame to see you leave, the community could really use people with a good attitude and enough maturity.
As for your (in my eyes) excessive ZP buying, after buying ZP I find it doesnt make much of a difference, i can play matches using only GP char and weapons and get the same scores more or less.
Good luck to you in whatever you may do next
P.s. You are right this game is addicting, but I only play it for 1/2 hours a day

I can see what you mean about the ZP, I spent 80$ so far on ZP for nothing, I got nothing. The thing is that you know the more you spend the higher chance you have of getting a random skinned gun, but if you think about it....80$ for 1 gun? Are you kidding me? I think the reason why we purchase ZP is to hopefully get that skinned gun we always liked.

The zp just=waste of money.For example whe i started cf my friend told me how to make some zp,i did it i got ak47 camo for it.I didn't knew it was for 7 days(couldn't understand)and then next saturday i was absolutely furious this 5 pounds that i waste could led me to buy new LCD of even ps3 250 gb and i just wasted it on a stupid game,that was my last time i put REAL money into the game,

to be honest, i barely ever complain about this game. if i do, its because people are teleporting. ive learned to accept 10% of my shots wont count, ive learned how to tell the difference between armor and regular people. -

The game is ok, The hackers are at a low atm, And thats magnificent. Its got a great gameplay and pretty good community. Cept for the others who dont speak your language.
Oh and germans are first to hack atm. Saw like 5 germans compared to 1 brazilian. >_>"

I'm sorry but I just find you to be a hypocrite when talking about raging. You (v0dka) were known as one of the biggest ragers in this game.
Regarding the rest of your points, they are mostly correct.
About a year ago, I used to rage a bit.. Biggest? I doubt it lol, I'd just QQ about my awful ping. Most of the time i was whacked out on meth so i wouldn't hold it against me. Yup, Check all my accounts, see the last play dates. Reason i made this thread is due to a few reasons. Ahh. I agree and disagree with some of this stuff. I'd rather not quote the whole thing and give my own opinion.
Community
I disagree with this. There are, actually more players ranging from the 14-19 ages that play this game. I have yet to play with players who come out and say their age in the middle of the game. Maybe players who don't have the maturity of a 18 year old and, in turn, act like a 12 year old? Maybe.
The competitive scene is growing. Competitive can be defined in a lot of ways. Wanting to win something is different from having to win something. There are people who game as a profession and are sponsored. For example, LPK got a sponsored trip to China. I think that they're going to do it again just because they enjoy doing that. People enjoy doing what they love to do.
The MODs
They are, actually, all over the age of 16. Abuse of power is taking it too far. They're doing their job from their perspective. If somebody is showing themselves as a threat to the peace of the community, the mods have all of the right to ban or do whatever with these so called, "innocent victims". They are the mods. The rules of general life, such as freedom of speech are limited to the rules set by the establishment.
This thread hasn't been closed yet, so I fail to see your second point.
I agree, some mods can be childish, but that's their nature. You can't change somebody to who you want them to be. You get what you get.
Hackers
I actually haven't seen a real hacker since the last patch. Z8 is taking measures. They have tried the Autoban system, which actually works, but sometimes makes flaws. If you don't hack you shouldn't be afraid. If you can reason with the support team, I doubt they will keep your account banned.
Game in General
It's not an addiction if you can control your needs. I have gotten by without purchasing ZP my whole CF career. The only source of my ZP income was from a random Pub Clan that me and moch were in. I have never experienced the need to buy any ZP as well. I agree, the registry is questionable, but nothing's perfect.
That malware could be anything. It could be an advertisement, or a popup. How could we know that it was that same page that gave that malware. It could have even been a false positive -

The mods job are to stick to the rules and make the community do so, They fail at this, and break them themselves. Crossfire is never going to get to the point where people can live by playing it, As a whole the game fails too much

I haven't seen any type of mod abuse or whatever you want to call it. The community...isn't it the same for every other game? That's just something we have to keep up with and ignore (iz easy stuff meng) and the competitive players...agreed. Tasty is one of the biggest.

i hate them too...
if them pwned u with hack, they call u noobs, insulting n swearings on u, if they got pwned by u , they call u hack, n cry others to kick u out of the game.
i met one few days after the halloween patch, he killed me with m700 1 shot, not HS, but i still pwned him with my AWM ...
