Anti-Virus Issue
So my anti-virus system warned me that Crossfire was a high level threat because it contained malware. I put crossfire in the vault of my anti-virus system but I really want to play again. Has this happened to other people, too??? I don't want to risk getting a virus on my computer but I don't know if Crossfire actually contains any malware. Please help!!!!

A few of the (cheaper) anti-virus softwares out there, such as AVG, will pickup CrossFire as a threat, due to the way the .rez files work.
Kaspersky also has these issues.
CrossFire is 100% safe, just make sure, whenever you're installing and/or patching the game, to turn OFF your anti-virus and firewall software.
Once the game's installed, add everything in the CF folder (C:// > Program Files > Z8Games > CrossFire) to your firewall and anti-virus exceptions list. -

Sounds like you got malware. Download and install Malwarebytes and run a full scan. It will fine and remove it.Jmcclellan wrote: »What is crossfire patcher v5? y cant i play the game
That's the Crossfire Auto-Patcher. If there is any new content it will automatically download it.november1997 wrote: »my crossfore will not work.Xtrap error code shows up and will not work. my name on cf is deathwolf5 and cf people must think i hack of somthing but i dont. But i think somone is trying to hack my account.
What error are you getting?
