Game Updates

The Halloween patch is in full force. It's been quite a hit with the fans! Have you tried on the Pirate hat? It's this editors favorite item.

We've done some things about the Hacking situation and are always working on new ways. We know that Hacking is always going to be a difficult hurdle, but we hope that you guys are seeing some of our efforts in much cleaner games than before. We're happy to see a lot less of certain types of hacks. And our detection and banning system is working overtime making sure people are always aware that we know what they are up to!

This should also be a good time to remind everyone about the Free USP Handgun if they don't already have one. You can get it here. Also, since we're on reminders. Don't forget our Friend System, it's a great way to earn free items and ZP for your account!

BREAKING NEWS! Seeing as how this amendment is directed at both the competitive and community gamer. It makes sense to put it here. If you haven't checked out the EU-PUG make sure to drop by and say hello in this thread.

Competitive Updates

Lots of news from the competitive world! WEM is in full swing. Lifeline and LPK both made it to China, and have started on their Journey to bring back the glory. Unfortunately both clans lost their first round matchups, but that doesn't mean they are completely out of the running. They play for the consolation prize tomorrow.

We are putting up coverage as it comes in and pictures on our new Competitive Page! This page will be a new hub for all things competitive. We'll be keeping our ears to the ground listening for new leagues, LANS, and other news that we will put up there. Expect interviews, bio's, tournaments, league standings etc. If you have something that you think should be up there make sure to let us know! Use the Community email at the bottom of this newsletter to inform us of your tournament!

While we're mentioning LANS, Cross Fire wants to know your opinion of a locally hosted Toronto Lan Party. Would you come? What would you expect from it? Do you have a big enough cooler for those energy drinks? Let us know your feedback here.

Community Happenings

The forums are always active post-patch. People coming and going checking out the new content. but there's always the lovers and the haters making their voices heard. Even though we realize we're never going to make everyone happy. We still love you all and are glad you're able to come to our forums and our site and our game to enjoy (or enjoy hating) your time!

Speaking of going places to enjoy your time. Sebbern brings us more vacation destinations. This time on the ghostly village of Hackenkreuz. And if you want to spend your time in some intelligent debate, Kelathe speaks some truths on the vote kick system.

And since LAN parties aren't always about competitive play, if you are looking to spend some time playing CF with your fellow gamers, then why don't you give us your opinion of a Cross Fire LAN Party. Nothing is set in stone yet, but based on the turnout in this thread we might have to throw a party!

You've been playing CF for ages. How many screenshots have you built up? Pick a random one and show it off here. Speaking of show offs the Fan Works section has had some great "quick clips" showing up recently. Check out the awesome video making skills here and here.

I_R_Jay wants to know what your favorite gun is. Your very own UW editor prefers the KRISS (some might say lack of skill. Others might say it gets the job done). But have you had a chance to play with the M4A1 Custom Crystal yet? There are still a few hundred left to be won.

Lastly, you may have seen that we put up a Halloween Wallpaper last week. We hope that you had a scary time trick or treating with friends. And maybe you even got to play a little Cross Fire to earn some extra clan points! But just because Halloween is over doesn't mean its the end! The Mutants are gathering and soon it will be time to unleash on them! Be prepared to defend yourself!

Events and Promotions

There are still a few hundred M4A1 Custom Crystals to be claimed from the Black Market Halloween ZP Crates. Make sure to try your hand at winning one of the Halloween Items and try out your M4A1 Custom Crystal before they run out!

We just got through a bunch of Halloween Promotions. No one can save you from the thriller though, The Mutants are gathering are you ready?
