explain ping to point and click guy

what is it? how does it make your game better? how do you check it and change it? i dont do alot of playing around with settings in games, just like to jump in and play , seen lots of talk of ping making it easy to play

lmao ...................CONNECTION TO SERVER. The lower the closer you are to the servers. also lower= better. reg more. kinda.

The higher your upload/download speeds of your internet, the more 'packets' of information aka ping, your network can send to CF's servers. Having the right modem configurations, such as correctly opening ports, will help.

Distance from the servers also has a huge effect on your ping.

There aren't any cast-iron ways to lower your ping, but usually using GameBooster will close down any unnecessary processes, optimizing your computers performance, thus causing a stable ping.

haha, yeah, im not a computer guy at all, not a big fan of technology even but i love to shoot things and this game has fun guns. so if i tried to connect to a server say in russian instead of america it would run slower i guess, i should look for the lowest number, thanks that does help haha
