there are more factors for your ping then just your Bandwidth speed and the hardware and bandwidth at the server..Like., EVERY PIECE OF WIRE AND HARDWARE BETWEEN YOU AND THE SERVER.... for instance, a power outage in an area can cause interweb traffic to be routed in a different manner then normal, thus a increase in ping... Updating servicing lines and hubs all along the path your signal takes to get to the server can cause increases in your ping for a few short days... i once had 2 weeks of double my normal ping because (after looking into it) i found they were laying new fiberoptic cable down 15 miles away from me....
also, You flat out should not be playing on the NA servers if you get 30 in the uk... i mean, how many americans do you see playing on Euro servers? let me put it this way.. I have not willingly played a online FPS with over 100 ping in 10 years. (before that nearly every one ran on dial up and a good ping was considered 180-300...) The few times in thos past 10 years where i did not have access to broadband, i simply did not play online games. I can not fathom ones willingness to play with high ping, subjecting them selves to a unstable gaming exp. as will as (in the case of this game) unfair gameplay for them selves and all those that play with them.

My ping used to be 51 in UK and 155 in Alpha.

Now 65-80 in UK and 170 in Alpha.
