Client file corruption detected, closing game

It seems that, after reading alot of threads on this issue, it may be caused by graphics card drivers being either out of date or corrupted or that your video card does not match the requirements of the game. Particularly the display resolution which the game tries to set when clicking 'Start Game' on the initial crossfire screen which is when this error pops up.
So the first thing to try is reinstalling and/or updating your graphics card drivers. -

Yup, I had the same problem.
I just assumed that my new lappy had the drivers already installed until I found the disk under the foam at the bottom of the box:D -

Hello everyone I am Brazilian, and yesterday I went to play Crossfire and this error appeared "Client File corruption close the game" already downloaded the game 2 vezez the West Coast using the Google Chrome browser and my computer and windows xp with updated drivers DirectX 9.0 GeForce 8600 video card and processor is an Intel Core i3. PLEASE HELP ME
