Unable to run Crossfire

After installing the newest patch, I am unable to start the game.

Once I click "Start game", it appears that it will start for a few seconds(The computer acts like something is loading), but nothing shows up, even after waiting at the computer for up to ten minutes.

Hmm reinstall crossfire but DO NOT USE THE mirror patches. When patching it up, a popup may appear "FAILED TO PATCH" or something. Just exit it and restart crossfire. Keep doing this until it works

I did what you said. It said "FAILED TO PATCH" a few times, but now all it does is say "failed to copy file needed for patch". And it never gets any farther, no matter how many times I start it again.
