Doesnt work
I've tried all the reload stuff. Thanks for your help, but it still doesn't work. On 64 bit it doesnt work. Z8 can do something because this has happened to me after every patch for about the last 1 year. And eventually it is just fixed. Z8 never says what it is. Probably just an employee (tech) that has no idea what theyre doing then gets fired, someone fixes it and doesnt mention anything. Then another patch, another error, another firing. I've seen somewhere on here a GM knew about it on a previous patch error. BUt this happens EVERY patch. -
Hello,
I have the same problem as you, Crossfire does not start after loading "HGW".
Setup: XP Home, Bitdefender Internet Security 2010.
PS1: Uninstall and reinstall does not work.
PS2: If my English is bad is that I used a translation site.
Hoping for an answer, thank you -
problem still the same
This is what i did.
removed crossfire from my system did multi scans to make sure there was no trace of it installed
rebooted the system went back in the system and removed antivirus programs firewalls other useless junk
i cleaned up the system and rebooted the system
then i reinstalled the game and did the update patch
still nothing
tried it on another computer windows xp 64bit same problem fresh install of xp pro 64 bit same problem
but in windows xp sp3 32 bit works fine
now i don't know about you guys i am not going to down grade for a game and i will not run an emulator just to play it
they really need to fix this problem -

x64 if u have 64 bit 32 if it don't say x64
Version 2003
Service Pack 2 thats as high as 64 bit goes SP 3 if u have 32bit -

When I go the properties of my computer, I have :
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
So I have a 32 bits ? So CrossFire doesn't work on XP 32bits too
cross fire should work with 32bit with no problem if not do the system clean up like i did and it should work after that i might of went a lil overboard but i build custom computers so i do get a lil crazy -

Lol Must be. I have like 6 reported & complained because I didn't receive points. gambit is some scammers imo. Filed a complaint on ripoffreport & going to with the bbb. Tired of their crap. Not even a response & one was a 7 day free trial offer from 2+ weeks ago that they never payed out. Just venting.
& yeah that's some bs it don't work for xp 64. Luckily I have a 2nd computer thats vista. -
- Go into your Start menu, then Control Panel, and then "Add or Remove Programs" -
Find "Windows Internet Explorer 8" and delete it.
(If you do not find it, you can always go to the Start menu, click Run, and enter the following command:%windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe)
- Restart your computer.
- Once the computer restarts, management Start menu, then click on Run and enters the following command:%windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe
- Restart your computer again.
There you are now at version 6 of Internet Explorer and you can replay CrossFire! -

I KNOW WHAT HELPS FOR 100%!!!
Sorry for caps, but it really helps: just uninstall Internet Explorer 8 (it will back to it previous version - IE6). Enjoy the game again. Off course do not install automatic Windows updates, coz it will again install IE8. -
