CShell.dll (File is Changed: W[2007] L[2] CShell.dll)
Kaspersky always think that CShell.dll is a virus file that it will delete this file each time you start Crossfire. It might be deleted your CShell.dll without reporting and you can't even restore it like mine did so that I had uploaded the CShell.dll, if someone have the same problem then:
1. Go to Kaspersky settings
2. Look for Threats and Exclusions
3. Link the exclusions to Crossfire folder ( more info http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=90157)
4. Download this http://www.mediafire.com/?5e2qnrub2jltb5m
5. Paste it in your Crossfire folder and you are good to go.

I suggest never downloading some other players dll file and adding an exception to your anti-virus. This is one method of adding a real virus to your system. The only safe place to download crossfire is from z8games directly.

The problem with avira is that it repeats you 9000 times that CShell.dll blabla is a dangerous file and, if you ignore it, it will repeat you again the error.. If u choose another reponse on the window appared, crossfire will not run... So.. What can we do?

Uninstall Avira and use something better. -

lol. I swear to god that my file that I uploaded in mediafire is not a virus, and this CShell.dll file will be delete after u turn on ur CF and this happen not only just Z8games CF and this http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=90157 is trusted information to active CF smoothly without ur anti-virus delete ur CShell.dll file. GM doesn't help us out much, so I just figured it out myself and share with everybody. If you don't trust me then don't download it. BTW, 184 times downloaded my file and nobody says that it harm there computer or something weird happened to their computer. -
No one is saying your file is definately a virus. Even the best intentions can sometimes lead to problems. What would happen if the file you uploaded innocently turned out to be a virus after all, even though you didnt know? It would infect everyones computer who downloaded it and you would be the cause.
We are trying to suggest that files should always come from trusted sources rather than some random individual. This should be the case no matter what anyone is downloading. Always use the original source for files to be sure you are not getting a virus. -

turcojan backdoorvirus
i got today the same problem and i dont know, maybe i reinstall windows vista that is a procedure over 4-5 houers to complete all. But i dont know if i have the problem again and there are many "virus" files that be detekted from spyware terminator, it is a big problem i got so much datas that i must first save it makes me crazy if i think about it.My english is far from perfect i cant understand the threads not all maybe i use a dictionary from win but it is so hard to get in of this way.I use avira and spyware terminator both if i deactivate avira guard i can play without problems, but what is that virus "turkojan" avira loged it as danger.
Did any can steel my passwords and can he or she look into my private files? -
If Avira is causing the problem and you turn it off crossfire works fine. So why re-install Vista? Just uninstall that rubbish anti-virus software.
You could re-install Vista if you want to but then if you put Avira back on you will most likely get the same problem again!
