Partly true. From my experience, the "damage time" is extended to even after the swing animation is over... so frequently I see them miss in front of me, then I die. The range of the shovel is also longer than the animation shows.
I'd rather deal with an axe noob.

I just with the stab of the regular knife was one hit in torso all the time so axe and shovel-users wouldn't become instant-aces of the game one they join.

1. Shovel is a lagger weapon
2. People who lagg can kill you from 10 feet.
3. It sucks and not good idea cause its a lagg weapon manufactred by LAGG Company©.
